Newbie Facebook Analytic Question

Hey everyone,

When I am testing my facebook ads I can track the age and location of the people clicking my ads by going to view reports in the ads manager.

But is there a way to track what "interests" are giving me my best results. Its a pretty important metric but cannot see it in any of the drop down boxes.

Thanks

Tom

Have you tried using Facebook’s Page Insight https://www.facebook.com/help/268680253165747

Available to you after 30+ page likes
    Good luck

As for now, Facebook doesn't report analytics based on Interests keywords you specified. However, there is a better way:
    1. Run multiple ad-sets and multiple ads in each ad-set
    2. Specify one or two interests at max in each ad.
    3. Track which ad is converting the best.
    4. Halt the rest. Make further iteration (either in image, ad copy) in the ad that was working good.
    5. Play with the parameters. Test what works and what doesn't.
    6. Scale what works and groom to glory!

Hi JospehL , thanks but I am running adverts to a website not page likes so dont think that applies. Unless I have misunderstood.

Irfanmaevrick, thanks a lot thats good advice. Crazy to think Facebook don't allow you to track probably THE most important metric.

Hi, targeting to likes or website shouldn't matter. I would rather target my ad to 10,000 users that fit my specific niche versus 30,000,000 that generally fall in my category.
Split testing your ad is also a must.
    Best of success to you.
