Facebook ads: From $0.20 per page like to $0.02 per like.

I just increased the results of my facebook advertising by roughly 10X.
This is going to seem pretty obvious to most of you, but I've been so busy building and launching my blog that I never really took the time to analyse my facebook advertising.
I'm in a pretty fortunate position where my project/site is not really limited to any one niche or location. Which means that I can target a very broad audience and still get good results as far as page/post likes are concerned.
The way I increased my likes 10X was so simple I feel stupid for having not done this initially.
I just googled the top 20 countries in order of facebook users and added these to my target audience field. The top 20 were a lot different to the countries I had selected initially. I also broadened my targeting via 'interests', using some of the most popular interests I could find.
Yeah I know, I should have done this from the beginning... But I got there eventually.

I'm new to all of this and still learning. I don't know a great deal about my audience just yet, so I figure if I can target a very broad audience then the facebook insights will start to provide more detailed information about demographics, interests etc...
So I may start to target my advertising a little more specifically, but at this stage I'm aiming large and trying to learn more about my audience.

So if you are using facebook ads, it might be a good idea to go back and re-evaluate your campaign if you haven't done so for a while.

Cheers.

That sounds like a very interesting strategy. It just takes a while to sort them out. But its a lot easier to sort them when you have people to sort through and interests to evaluate. Congratulations.
