677 K Subscribers With No Video..WTF

Hi,

I just found this channel which has 677 K subscribe with no video, I mean how the hell is that even possible. I worked hard, upload video on regular basis and have only 2300 subscribers

    Prolly he once had videos... though it's not quite a requirement really. Think of it as adding friends on Facebook. Instead of "friending" they subscribed to the account. A 2009 member could easily pulled this off.

    all of his videos might of got deleted or he might of deleted his videos, but thats alot of SUBS, which i had that many with no youtube videos... if only lol

      This channel had videos at one point in time but they've been deleted. According to Social Blade, the channel has been steadily getting views since before July 2013. It peaked at over 870 million views and then dropped down to 0 on 24 days ago. Now the channel is losing over 100 subs a day. Mashaimedved Monthly YouTube Statistics - Socialblade.com

      This could indicate one of two things, either the channel was uploading regularly and growing fast until something happened and the up-loader had to take down their videos. This could have been a copyright issue or something similar.

      Or the channel had several fake views and subscribers and YouTube finally figured it out and removed the views. If this is the case than the loss of subscribers would be the result of closing the fake accounts.

      Since this channel is partnered by Quiz Group, I think it's safe to say that the views were real. Judging from the name of the channel (Masha i Medved is a cartoon), I would be willing to wager that it had a ton of copyrighted material.
