I would start with Facebook. Advertising your blog posts with paid ads.

    Hi taposh,

the best part of Facebook is that you can find and reach out to audience belonging to almost any interest/niche and for any specific purpose (B2B/B2C). However, if you don't have any page and don't have any plans to invest in social media, chances are that you won't be able to leverage its potential to its fullest. But still if you are settled to try social media for free, here are some tips to start off:

    1. Brand the page properly e.g. display picture, cover photo, description, about sections
    2. Install important apps germane to your website/niche
    3. Post atleast 10-15 content on the page
    4. Invite your friends initially to like your page. Depending upon your social circle, you may get some likes in hundreds
    5. Look for Facebook Groups/Pages which are active for S4S i.e. Share for Share. i.e. you will share their content and they will share yours. By this way, you will get some likes
    6. Post your Facebook Page's content in groups relevant to your niche. The content should be informative and not officious
    7. Add a signature in your email, business card about your Facebook Page. Mention it in your Facebook Page.
    8. Use popups in your website prompting the users to like your Facebook Page
    9. Use Facebook LIKE widgets in your website.
    10. Use LIKE gateways on your website.
    11. Reach out to admin of other pages to share your page's content with their audience (provided your content resonates with their audience)

these are some of the organic ways to grow LIKES on your Facebook Page! Hope this helps!

I consider website like Reddit to promote your blogs where most of the people love to read the new topics and also create a business page in popular social media sites

If you're going to put little effort in sharing your posts then you're going to get little engagement no matter what social media site you share your posts on.

Make it your priority to always create awesome content first, then share it with your target audience in all social networks, mainly the big ones:

    Facebook
    Twitter
    Youtube
    Google+
    Pinterest

All social media websites are good free traffic resources, as long as you're active! That means spending real time creating your posts, sharing them, engaging your fans.

I would recommend Twitter and use hashtags. You can get great traffic from Twitter with little to no followers by using hashtags.

A lot of free traffic with little or no work is just a dream buddy. Traffic without work is called paid traffic

    Any medium works
I used facebook though. You can target exact audience with as little as $1 and if you have a creative post you can reach up to 100k impressions even.
aka 100k people see your ad!

There are many social media platform form such as facebook, instagram, pinterest, linkedin etc.. it depends upon you that from which you can gather or engage more customers.

By survey, I found that many people use these media marketing like this:

    Facebook>LinkedIn>Twitter>Instagram>Google+> Pinterest

I've found that Facebook generates the most traffic. Twitter was a close second. I don't really use LinkedIn to promote any of my content.

Here's a post that shows how I generated over a million pageviews in the first month after I launched a new blog: From 0 to 1,125,671 Pageviews in a Month

Once your page is established all platforms can give you lots of traffic with little effort, but if you're just starting out little effort won't help you much. Each network has its own pros and cons and how much traffic you get depends on your efforst and your niche.

Facebook has all kinds of people, but you gotta pay to play. Google+ and Twitter have certain specific age groups and categories but they don't limit your niche. You just gotta understand how they work, and they'll all give you good traffic.

If I had it my way, I would pick Google+. Its easy to make friends there, and its easy to get attention as compared to other networks.

Relying on social media for traffic is not really the best thing you can do. But if you really want to use social media then go for it. I personally find using Facebook, Twitter and Google+ the best way to put your content on social media. You can also try to post your stuff on forums. You may also want to consider commenting on other blogs that are related t your niche with your blog link.

20% of your time should be creating content. 80% promoting it. Twitter and Reddit do really well for me.

I personally use facebook, twitter and google+. Social media alone won't bring you a lot of traffic but its a good way to boost it. You can post your updates several times on different platforms. also make sure that your content is interesting enough for people to share it!

For blogs, I'd say Facebook. But Twitter and Google+ could work well for you as well.
Also, this might depend on what type of blog you have. Just an example, instagram and Pinterest work great for food blogs. So, it all depends on what you share on your website.
