Hi,

I have good reach for normal posts (videos / photos)

But I have no idea how there are pages that have awesome rich for external links as well.
I am seeing pages that receives thousands of shares and likes for links they post and I have no idea how they're doing this.

Do you guys have any idea why there's such big difference?

If you're having good reach with videos and pictures, but not with links, then maybe your target audience just prefers videos and pictures. Every audience engages differently to different posts, so just stick with what works for yours.

Perhaps they're in a different niche, or people trust the sources that they're linking them too. They may have a more responsive audience, or they may be presenting the links in a better manner with a better call to action. There can be many factors involved here. Why don't you compare your links to the way they post their links and see if there are any discrepancies.
