How To Grow My Social Media?

Should I drive traffic to my social media thru my blog? OR Should I promote my blog thru social media? Basically,I'm asking should I focus on making my blog popular first or making my social media popular first in order to get my social media sites more followers/friends. Another way to put it is,Which call to action is more likely to happen, someone going to my blog thru social media or someone going to my social media thru my blog?

I think that someone going to your blog through social media is more likely plus I assume your blog is where you monetize traffic anyway. So that's where you want to focus your traffic.

When you send someone from your blog to social media that is in my opinion in an effort to keep them more engaged and to ensure they don't miss another post on your blog as you will link to your new posts in social media, ultimately sending social media back to your blog anyway.

You have to access your goals here. If your end game is providing value to an audience then monetizing that then you should be focusing on driving traffic to the blog and using social media to widen that reach.

It is more likely that someone will go from social media to your blog. I believe you should focus on developing both, but the beauty of having popular social media accounts is you can drive traffic to almost anything, quickly. So personally, I would focus a little more effort on social media development, but that's just my opinion.

    Good luck!

    Focus on your social media.

If you have a budget, learn how to use Facebook Ads to obtain likes. When people visit your blog, generate leads. Then suggest them to follow you in other platforms to attract more people.

I think its more realistic to think that people will go to your blog from social media. Build your social media profiles, update regularly, interact with your audience and share your blog content.

    Why not focus on both?
Assuming you monetize your blog, you should definitely focus on it! At the same time, focus on social media as well, so you'll drive even more traffic to your blog.

Make your life easier and piggy-back off the authority of the popular social media sites. In the beginning, nobody knows about your blog so the easiest way to build your reputation is through building your social media presence first.

Really get to know your audience in your niche. Join some groups on Facebook related to your topic and start following people in your market on Twitter. Find high quality content that they're sharing and start a discussion about it. Tell them how intriguing you found their content to be to break the ice. People will definitely respond to you positively when you do. Share, like, comment, RT, and favorite as much content as can first.

Then once you've established that relationship share your best articles and videos from your blog. If you did a good job getting to know your audience then your engagement will be very high. Stay consistent and always let your audience know that you haven't forgotten them.

If you want to drive traffic on your blog page rather than any other page like landing or home page then, promoting your blog on social media and driving traffic to your blog through social media is a good technique.Maintain your social media accounts in an effective way and show regular engagement with them.
You can CTA button on the place where you have more traffic. For example, if your blog have number of viewers then you can use it on the blog and if your social media accounts have more connection and targeted audience then, use it on social media. Thus, both ways are good.

I think you should try to get traffic on your blog through social media. You can easily boost your blog traffic through social media.
    · Start a Facebook page for your blog. This is a great, additional subscription option for heavy Facebook users, and it can be a means of expanding your platform. I've met several new people who "liked" my page and weren't previously friends with me on Facebook.
    · Regularly share your content on Facebook There are some great tools to help make this easier for you. Encourage your readers to do the same by adding a Facebook "like" or "share" button.
·Ask others to promote your blog via social bookmarking sites, such as DIGG, Stumbleupon, Reddit, and others. You may occasionally do this yourself, but be careful of doing it repeatedly, as some sites penalize sites with multiple submissions from the same user.
· Implement social sharing tools on your website. An excellent tool is Flare, which allows you to combine sharing options via Twitter, Facebook, email, and social bookmarking sites into one tool.

I think you have to do both if you focus solely on social media without any real content than it will be hard to gain traction. I like to think of blogging and social media as two sides of the same coin. Some people like to state that you should spend 20% of your time on content and 80% on promoting that content.

I would recommend you to work on both!

Building up the traffic flow to your blog online take time - and the same goes for your Social Network Following. These are processes that take a lot of time and effort. So, you should start working on both. Start adding up results, and never stop until you get what you want to see.

Social Media, and your blog online, go together. You should work with both. Just split your time online. Spend some time creating good content for your blog, and then market the heck out of it. Spend some time building up your social media networks and following online. As everything grows, you will start to build a good brand for yourself.

    I hope this helps!

    Keep up the great work!

    I wish you the best!

    Cheers!
