Facebook Ads $1-$2 per Click. Help Needed

Hi,
I am new to facebook ads.
Currently I am running two ads both of them optimized for website clicks. Both ads target people in US who have studied a particular subject. Target audience for both is around 12k mark.

However surprisingly so far I have spent $6 and got only $4 clicks . Which means that I am paying $1.25 per click and it seems like going up rather than anything else.

What do you think I am doing wrong ? I am promoting Tee spring and my campaign was based on few WSO sold here on WF about TS.

  • You're doing it the wrong way Ahmar.

    As someone who uses PPC on a day to day basis and worked with clients spending millions of dollars on Facebook, let me layout the formula I use.

    Click to website are always going to be horrendously expensive.

    So what you need to do is keep the click within Facebook.

    What you'd do is create a Fan Page targeting your niche. You would then make a post in that page, which has a link to the website you are promoting.

    You then create a Facebook ad, which directs the click to that post and not to an external website - this is key!

    You create a Per Post Engagement ad.

    This will significantly reduce your CPCs.

    Try it and let me know if you need more detailed guidance.

    Per post engagement is the way to go on fb ads. Don't do fan page ads, hits to website is expensive.

    With post engagement you kill 4 birds with 1 stone: Likes to your fan page, Visits to your website, Cheapest CPC, and Virality (If your content is shareable.)

  • You need to add interests in the ad properly so that facebook can target particular type of audience and get more exposure for your ad. I am running 2 ads on FB for US and I am spending $5 per day but I get around 30 clicks per day on an average.

    • This is awesome! You got all those website clicks from a PPE ad? From my experience PPE ads get lots of post clicks but not website clicks. How did you do that?

  • I can't get the hang of this at all. Been struggling with it for ever. Nothing seems to work. How are you doing this??? When I attempt to set the bidding to "per post engagement" and they are suggesting a minimum bid of $6.03 per engagement! It's insane!! They just mow through my money and give me jack in return.
    It's the same when trying to build likes to a page. Back in the day, I used to be able to get likes for 6c each. Now they are suggesting a minimum price per like of over $1, which is completely ridiculous.
    FB free traffic I have killed it and done really well. But this is just confusing and despite having a 150 IQ I just cannot seem to grasp it.
    I would pay someone good money to teach me this.

  • Your CPC is really expensive. There might be something wrong with your ad images, ad copy and targeting. Those are the main factors affecting your CPC. I would use more compelling ad images.
  • I think, Your ad campgin is not interesting, may be lots of impression you are getting but nobody click on your button, thats why, when someone click on your button for entering your website, that time facebook charging high cpc. Besides,you filtered interest keyword with country but you didn`t see how many people will see your ads.

    You can think that, why am i saying about interesting. I got 2 lakhs paid impression with 5 lakhs natural impression. Lots of engagement with my post. Facebook Charged only $4 ! Cause it was interesting, thats why i got it. So, You need to think, when you are setuping new ads campaign. And another bad thing, if you are newbie, don`t try to test with high cpc country. it will make unhappy. Find a man who can acutally know and who can help you. After that time you can try to work with High cpc.

  • I run a campaign 2 days ago and these were my results:
    CPC around 0.01. It was costing 0.01 - 0.02 then I changed to CPM.

    I got +500 clics including likes, comments and shares but my blog registered +400 visits from Facebook. I spent $5.
  • Abul summed it up real nice! Keeping the click inside Facebook is really important.
    I'd also like to add, when you create your facebook fan page, make the link to your website visible! I've seen fan pages that keep it private... and that is very, very wrong.

    • Yeah I have just recently gotten into TeeSpring.

      Having trouble with the CPC. Its insane. Maybe I should try to PPE instead of Click to Website.

      I think that could make a difference.

      But I thought CPC was going to be cheap since I am doing a Dark Post that shows it is coming from a Fan Page ( but is linked to Website) Why is it still so expensive ?

  • What is the suggested bid range? You should bid manually. Bid the minimum on one ad, the middle on the second and if you want, one for the high bid.

    See what sends the most clicks and converts while lowering CPC costs.

    You better have good ads for CTR to take advantage of this strategy.
  • PPE is the answer to your problem, provided your post content is engaging enough for your visitors to click to your website ... Try the FISH-HOOK technique, you will definitely see results ...
