Ways to make a video go viral

I'm working on a video campaign for a client and I wanted to see if anyone has any advice on how to help a video go viral.
Has anyone created viral video content that has just gone gangbusters?

What elements of a video do you think is required for it to go viral?

    yo ninjaking i have a few tips for you to go video go viral
    i have been done this before , my video guide has only 21k hits
    and after that i had more 10k on my new video without doing nothing.
    thats a nice traffic for a blog user.

    anyways that my tips for you
    1. upload your video to video websites as many as you can
    2. share the viral contact at the Right places

    about elements im not sure what do you mean
    it depends whats youre client represent and what the agenda of hes product
    find those, and what will be left is to find your right people to share with.

    It is a misconception that any video can go viral. You must make content that is already optimized to go viral. Videos that go viral usually are

    a)About something shocking,sensational, scary,strange, emotionally charged
    b)About a recent famous event
    c)About a famous person
    d)A response to a controversial topic
    e) a reinterpretation of something famous i.e parody,remix, response, etv

    You can't make a generic video go viral, there has to be something innate about the video for people want to share by their own volition.

    It's possible to make a informational video get a lot of views but there already has to be a pre-established audience to share it to via social media and/or email list building.

    You can of course always use paid advertising .

    If you're into SEO, try to find "terms" with lots of search volume, then create a video about that search term. youtube videos usually ranked much easier in google thus gives you lots of views and shares.

    You gotta hit people's emotions real hard with your video, for it to go viral online.

    But even then, your video will need a BIG push to go viral. I would recommend you to share it in as many video sharing sites as possible. Share them in as many social networks as possible. And just ask people straight up, if they can share your video.

    There are services that can help you upload a video in multiple sites very easy and faster.

    A video cannot go viral with just a little bit of traffic to it. Unless your video IS THAT GOOD!! lol

    Every video that went viral, had a big push first. The amount of traffic your video will need, to start going viral, will depend on how good your video is, and how much people like it!

    First, you can get ideas from other viral videos on the web whether it is from your competitor or any advertising campaign you see on tv or internet.
    Second, think of the videos you've previously shared (voluntarily), and ask yourself what made you share that video?? Or ask your friends too on what makes them share a video? quinng123 is right, there has to be something or there should be something on your video that only you can figure it out.
    Maybe it has something to do with promotion or how enticing your video is going to be.

    The first thing you need to consider for your video is your content. What kind of video do you have? Does it solve some problems? Does it share insights? Test your video out in a small network (friends, colleagues, etc.) and ask them what do they think about your video. If they appreciated your video then that's a good factor, if not then maybe you can still do some improvements.

    The next thing is upload your video on multiple video platforms. Youtube is the best choice definitely, but there are still other websites that offer the same services. Make sure you use the right titles, tags, and descriptions to boost the SEO capability of your video..

    Share it on social media, create backlinks towards your video coming from websites with related topics. You need to increase the presence of your video online for it to be viral. If you can, ask the help of infulencers within your niche, that would give you the big push.

    make a page whare they have to share your video in order to see it
    so the idea is that since they want to see your video they will share it on facebook
    people will see it there and people will go again to the video and they will share it as well
    and so on. Just have nice graphics on the website that you createand put a nice picture as thumbail in the facebook tags (html tags that tell facebook what thmbnail to display)

    It's difficult to make anything go viral, if it isn't shocking. So, before creating your video, brainstorm some ideas and try to come up with something shocking. I'd say this is the key element for something that needs to go viral.
