You can't unless you can show you are the legal owner of a business with that particular name. Owning a domain name and a Facebook page have nothing to do with each other in terms of ownership unless someone is squatting on one or the other.

And....unless it is some national name that you have rights to there is absolutely nothing you can do. Just think if you had a facebook page and someone bought that domain name and then kicked your page off? Ouch

Try using a version of the name , maybe a hyphen or put a world like "my" or "our" or "your" in front of it, or add an s at the end

I don't think you can report or remove or do anything about the facebook page. But yeah, use a different name to create your own facebook page.

Yes, buying a domain name will not help you in this, you have to be legal owner of the business.

I don't think you can remove that facebook page. Because there is no relation between domain name and facebook page name. You can create a new page by adding or removing one word from that page name.

Oh please....the owner of the facebook page had the name first

there are various facebook pages with same or similar names

      many ways to distinguish

actually the OP is the one who should have researched his domain name better if we want to be honest about it

I would like to see someone contact me to change the name of a page I manage LOL

You sound like a terrible person.

    Live by the golden rule.

If you want that name, everybody has a price. Contact them and find out what it is.

  • You do have the ownership of the domain name only. It does not mean that you have the ownership of each and everything existed on web. what you can do is to create another page separated by hyphen etc or create a bit longer version of the name. if you only need the same page, contact the admin of the page and give him an offer and buy it if you can afford it.

Just create a slightly altered name and make sure your facebook page is more popular than your competitor's. Maybe you can spend some time on the other page and siphon off some fans.

If you have a trademark on the name, you can enforce it, otherwise make an offer to the other user to get the name on facebook or try a variation of the name or try using a hyphen in the name.

I don't think that there is much you can do about it, either buy that page or create a new one by changing the name a bit. Adding a word or two extra. Say add official in the end or something.
