Hi,

Posting here after a long time I have a quick question and I thought I would ask around to see if I can get some help from the cool guys here

I am trying to establish my graphics design business and I would like to leverage the power of Facebook. I wonder what would be a good starting point for me to start marketing my business on FB.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Créate a Facebook page and expend some bucks on Facebook ads.

But notice people is not on Facebook looking to hire a designar. Are you working on freelancer?

    • You'd need to create fan page and then start promoting your page with some quality contents.Remember, don't always think of monetizing you fans rather add value to them by contents on your fan page. You would need consistency and quality. You have to spent a few bucks too to get some organic likes. if your contents are real and add value to your fans, it can go viral and can get for you some free likes too.
When you have a decent amount of likes, you can bring them to your blog site and monetize them but as I said don't always think like that. If you concentrate 80% on adding value 20% monetizing, It'll be great.

Also you should consider participating in some of the most popular Facebook groups in your niche. Try participating in them, giving some help to other people. This will be a starting point to building your personal brand as a professional.

Create a Facebook page for your graphic design business. Hopefully you already have a website that you can add the link to as well.

Everytime you make a new post your website share that post on your Facebook page. For example a new logo you worked on or some other design that you can show off to let others know what you can do.

Then go find some other graphic design groups to join. Become an active participant and start building relationships on there by liking, sharing and commenting on posts you find interesting. When you've established some relationships go ahead and share the posts you made on your Facebook page. Don't just copy and paste the same description on each share, instead give it a unique one enticing others to check it out.

Stay consistent sharing and posting on your Facebook page every time you have something new on your website. If you already have a following on another social platform, start directing that traffic over to your Facebook page by letting your audience know that you're on Facebook too.

The facebook fanpage is the way to go. Get a sotware that autoposts to the targeted FB groups (to save time) you are signed up with and post a message about your fanpage.

You will gain REAL niche targeted likes which will become followers. Then it will start to pick up and others will help you gain traffic as it goes viral (sort of...)

Well, first of all you need to create your facebook page. Describe your business in the about section, link to your portfolio, overall just give as many details about what you do and who you are ( as a business).
Then, you should start promoting it. One thing I'd like to say first: do not buy fake likes! You might be tempted to, because it would seem like you have a lot of followers, but buying likes is not helpful at all.
You should promote your page using free methods: sharing it with your friends, inviting people to like it, posting interesting things on it on a daily basis, engaging people to comment or like what you post ecc.,, or you can invest money in some facebook ads campaign.

Are you sure Facebook is the right medium to promote your services? In my experience, Facebook works best for B2C companies and Brands. By the sounds of it you'll be looking to work for businesses, perhaps Twitter or LinkedIn would be more lucrative for you to invest in?

    1. Start out with a fan page for your business that is targeted towards your niche.

    2. Post valuable content (don't necessarily promote at first).

    3. Get traffic by driving likes. People on fiverr.com will offer to get you Facebook likes. Pick a seller and order from them. Do this at first just to give your site some social oomph and a look of being credible in your field of expertise.

    4. Do ad campaigns with your fanpage that is targeted toward your niche, eg. persons seeking graphic designers. However, bear in mind that people don't usually seek out freelancers on Facebook. If this Facebook strategy doesn't work, you can try selling your services on freelancing sites such as Fiverr, Odesk and Freelancer. It would be wise to rank your gigs if you can (just a tip).

When people comment on your posts, show that your business is listening and that you care. If you need more time to answer a question, let them know that you're looking into it.

A Facebook presence is important, but you have to have time to consistently update it. Do you have a website to promote your graphic design business? If so, don't advertise directly with FB. Instead, get a Retargeting account with AdRoll, install the code on your website, then retarget to your website visitors on Facebook. You'll have much better results, the costs will be cheaper, and you'll be specifically targeting an audience that has already been on your website.

And don't put all your eggs in one basket either and focus only on Facebook. Having a consistent presence on multiple networks is the best way to help guarantee success.

One of the simplest way to increase your Facebook organic reach is to empower your employees to engage with your Facebook page. The more engagement, likes, shares, clicks, your Facebook posts receive the more you can increase your Facebook organic reach.
