How to keep adding people to a google + community?

First let me tell you how I did it over the last two weeks.

Two weeks ago I started my own cooking community where I post my own recipes ( links to my blog) and where I let people post their blogs, recipes, health tips,.....

In two weeks I have over 600 members which is probably not enough to really make money ( links to amazon products, links to my blog,...)

So far, I added 3000 people to my google plus account, around 600 people added me as well.
Every I share my community a few times and I invite as many people as I can.

Now there will be a point that I have reached my 5000 connections. So the "new" members won't keep coming.

What can I do then? Start deleting people and add others? Will the deleted ones having added me still get my updates?

On twitter I randomly added 1000 contacts yesterday ( people involved in cooking) and 150 added me so far. Although I don't have a feeling I got a lot of response from twitter.

The question is: I thought 2000 is the maximum amount of people you can follow unless a sufficient amount of people have added you too. Does anyone know about numbers?

Yes, you always have to remove people from your circles. First, those who haven't added you back. Second, those who added you back a long time ago but you don't communicate. As long as they keep you in their circles, they can see your updates. If you share good content, there's no reason for them to delete you. Circloscope allows you to do this job in a breeze.

The same way you do on Twitter. You don't have to keep following everyone who followed you back once. Don't procrastinate getting rid of them to avoid the headache.

Yes, some people will unfollow you because you unfollowed them, but that just shows that they're just into numbers, not into your business. It's OK.

Yes, Twitter max 2000. Don't unfollow more than 100 people per day.

If you had a group around a high ticket/recurring billing affiliate product with 600 laser targeted members that would be fantastic.

Where did you get them from? Invited your own followers or added targeted people to your circles first to be able to invite and then just blasted the invitation?
