Sharing content on facebook from sites like buzzfeed.

Ok warriors,
I have set up a facebook page and managed to get some likes. I was looking at the post here and see lot of people saying, share great content. Find viral content and share etc.
What's the point of sharing post from buzzfeed? When people click on your post they are taken to buzzfeed.com.
I did this and also boosted the post for$5.00. Within 3 hours that money was gone. Post reach was 2300 and engagement was 79. I did not get single like from it, neither I got any clicks to my website.
Any insight will be appreciated.

    You didn't provide much information here. What kind of page are you running? Are you trying to promote your product? You can share viral stuff, but what's the point of boosting a post that people can already see on Buzzfeed in this case. Try to boost some of your original quality content, something you think people will like, promoting pages that already have millions of likes isn't really going to help your business grow.
