Is engagement higher on a Facebook profile or page?

I have a profile that gets great engagement. As high as 8% engagement from 4000 friends. That's pretty close to 400 likes plus a decent amount of comments per post.

I have been studying other peoples pages and I see that engagement is quite low compared to how many likes they have. For example, someone like Taylor Swift who has over 70 million likes under a 1% engagement. With about an average of 160,000 likes per post.

Is my engagement going to drop? That would be devastating. I post a lot of text type post. Rarely do I post pictures etc, or videos.

That would be devastating. Because I can easily just let me people follow me instead of liking my page. And if engagement is lower from followers, At least I still have the 5000 limit friends who engagement a lot on my profile.

Sure I can't buy likes, or pay for post visibility, but whats the point if my post are going to be under 1%, compared to 8%.

My profile is me. Under my artist name. So I have built up a great following of people who I know are interested in my music, and very niche tight market.
