Facebook Image guidelines

Hi,

I have got an infographic here which facebook guidelines does not accept because of text over image ratio which is high. Is there anyway to make this image acceptable to FB?

    Whats' this image to be used for on FB?

    Is it for a FB ad?

    If it is, the he image it's way too large, plus there is too much text (A FB ad. can only had 20% text)

    This is an image? It is looking like an Infographic. You can solve your issue of more text with the use of photoshop.

    Let your ad copy follow the 20% text guideline then when clicked, it goes to the infographic wherever it is hosted.

    The Infographic can be on your website or it can be on your facebook page. If you want it on your facebook page, upload it as a normal image, then include a download link for access to the full size.

    For the adcopy, your text can be "INFOGRAPHIC: How To Become A Sap Consultant"

    Thanks guys, but the problem is, nothing is more viral than showing the full image in the FB post itself because earlier i tried posting the image to FB post and it went viral till FB detected the non-compliance of 20% text ratio so it deleted the post. Thereafter when i tried to post a link alone to the FB post the virality is not as good as the earlier version.

    This is where i am stuck.

    Cut your image to show the most important element of your infographic. Upload the full image to a landing page, post the url to that landing page, upload the cut image and boost your post.

    By the way, can you share where did you get that infographic? It looks well done.

      No problem it was done by Infographic Design Team - Infographics Design - Data Visualization for $250.

      What you advise is the scaled down version of this infographic to go on FB. That will surely work. Thanks for the idea, i will try that.

      By the way, the most important thing i want to understand now, what could possibly preventing FB to allow images of any types without checking for the text ratio? This is preventing many infographics from being posted to FB and they are losing traffic because of this rule. Anyone knows?

        Hey, thank you for sharing your source of graphic design.

        I did not mean to scale down, because essentially you will have still to much text on your image. I meant to cut your image by making a version where you highlight the catchiest phrase and graphic element.

        About why FB does not allow more than 20% of text on ad images, it's difficult to know.
        But I guess it's because text based images get viral and that would lead to high CTR and low CPC which will not bring in earnings to FB, you know... advertisers would be using mostly memes, quotes, phrases type ads, and sometimes memes just annoy some FB users, also is more difficult to filter some words that can be offensive for some users. They are some reasons they might have to prevent these kind of images, but it's just my opinion.
