And what's the name of the site you are planning on paying for ads on?

That should be an easy question.... Which ads you believe you would benefit for most from? If you are thinking what I am thinking, go for those types instead...

    don't advertise your page.

advertise and promote your website instead.

promoting your page is useless and stop hoping maybe by liking your page they might land on your website.

why not generate the traffic and promotion directly to your blog.

If you want "once and done" traffic, used boosted posts to drive clicks. If you want to build a community that you can market to over and over again, establish a fan base with likes.

A rabid fan base of as few as 1000 can generate TONS of website traffic - I know this because it's how I drive traffic to my own websites.

  • Increase your fans base and drive people to your website. Create a tracking pixel and build a custom audience. Then do remarketing using that custom audience.

Recently, FB announced that activity of friends won't be on news feed as it used to be. Only posts that a friend directly published on his/her timeline.
That means that fan pages' reaching will decrease and will likely make a must to boost posts regularly to reach your audience that's why sending direct traffic to your website and creating custom audiences to make retargeting is the best approach.

As I said above, I would run Facebook ads directly to my website... Test for low engagements to the site and keep going with the best ADS....

Mind you, keep your audience very clear to who would be interested in your blog/website... Makes sense? That keeps CTR high...

I'd say you should just test things out and see what works for you specifically. Divide your budget accordingly and set up your ad campaigns one at a time, see which method brings in the best results.

When it comes to social networks, people will, obviously, trust other people rather than an inanimate object (ads), posting to groups in your niche or sending private messages to "friends" is much effective than ads (even targeted ads). The only downside is social interaction (at least facebook) automation is becoming harder if not impossible.

  • Hello Mohohoho

I would tell you that the best choice is to generate traffic directly promote your site, but there is a rule that applies to everyone, so 'you should divide the 50% the budget you have available and try as a solution for your case leads to more 'results.

I would run Facebook ads directly to my optin page and not directly to my website, here's why I do it this way, you like thousands of others have at 20 seconds to capture the imagination of your visitors, that it. If you send them to your website and they don't like it they are off and you may never see them again. By sending them to an optin page which offers them a FREE GIFT with great content they are more likely to sign up and enter your mailing list. When using Facebook ads i direct them to the optin page results are amazing, well worth a go.

It is always good to go viral as soon as possible. You can do this by both way. You also can try with promoting videos
