Feedback on this paid traffic ad on Facebook

Here's the approach I'm taking. Basically, I found some viral educational content, and I'm dissecting the information from multiple sources (as well as personal examples), and delivering it in a different distribution (for example, rather than a 5,000 word blog post, I'm delivering it in a 45 minute webinar to a less-sophisticated target market than myself).

Here's the ad copy that I'm trying to get approved:

However, no matter how I change the headline of my ad copy, I keep getting disapproved.

From what you can see, does it look too hypey? I don't recall making any outlandish claims. Just looking to educate target market who expressed interest on this.

I would love to hear your feedback.

Facebook in general are quite touchy with their adverts now, you can't tell people what they need to do or anything like that, can't even suggest.

You can't even say how your product will benefit them. It's real weird and touchy like that. Can only say how good your product is and can't mention anything about something being wrong with them or anything they're doing, it's hard to explain but yeah, hence why weightloss and anxiety campaigns are near impossible now.

I appreciate the feedback. I guess I need to tone it down more. Facebook seems to be more touchy than I thought.

A lot of mistakes going on, be glad that didn't get approved.

I didn't even read the whole copy, and you wanna know why? Because no one else would either. Way too much text, along with some key trigger words - Free, and budget - Main reasons it didn't get approved.

You need an eye catching picture and text that doesn't give everything away. You want them interested and curious about what's behind that ad. You're not trying to sell them the farm on ad copy alone.

I noticed you set your max cpc at .25c - That's good, but I can tell you there is zero chance in hell you'd get anywhere close to that.

Thanks for the tip on the trigger words. Based on the feedback on some other ads, I have to disagree with you regarding some of your comments. I'll figure how to tweak the ad copy, as I modified an example from a training course as a starting point.

Yesterday I had the same issue and got the same message. I deleted my ad and created a similar one, where I used the word "free" 3 times in the ad copy (it is about a free download) and after 30 minutes it got approved. I think, the first one was disapproved because I used the word "struggling" (the main difference between the two ads).

I'm not an expert, just testing.

There's a lot of factors that go into it - What type of ad was it? Page promotion, website clicks, boost post ect? Some are more sensitive than others, but there's still no guarantee that it's going to approve or not.

You said the advert got approved, but has it started spending yet? Most ads get approved within the first hour, but until it starts spending, there's a chance it'll disapprove, or get banned all together. About 80% of all new accounts get banned on the first ad, regardless of the content. There's ways to strengthen the odds in your favor, but fb is always changing it's algorithms.

You do have a better chance of getting an ad approved if the ad account has been active for awhile, it usually just the first one.

hm, my account is actually active for years, It's my fifth campaign (second for this website) and it is the first time an ad was disapproved Maybe that's the reason I was not banned (hopefully!).

The ad has a few impressions, but I think it is because of the bid. Initially, it suggested me to bid at $0.17-$0.47 (if I remember right) for clicks, I chose to bid at $0.50 and after I finished the ad without changing targeting, suggestions went over $1! Anyway, it is not the first time that it took me so long to get impressions. I have another active one to get likes, and impressions started slowly after two days.

You made me doubt about the ad and I may have to remove it and submit a new one.

I never worry about the suggestions, or the bid for that matter, because it really has little bearing on the outcome. If you're running an .80c ad(quality wise), and you bid .40c, you just won't hit your budget. Fb will try to keep it under the budget, but if the ad sucks, there's little else it can do.

With the right ad, you should be able to see .20c clicks or less in almost every niche. I always shoot for under .10c, and I'm in one of the most competitive markets there is. It's more than possible if you keep testing.

If your ad is already running, I wouldn't touch it, not yet at least. Making too many changes can also flag your account. You have a good chance of that not happening though, since your account is so old. However, facebook has been extremely temperamental these last few months.

No problem! Yeah you can't promise anyone anything that isn't proven to work. Facebook isn't what it was 5 years ago..

In your opinion, where am I claiming things other than the headline? (just want to make sure I don't miss any spots)

If you were offering hypnotherapy sessions, you'd probably have a winner. Copy nearly put me to sleep.

Too long, extremely weak language, heaps of grammatical errors and no real benefits to your audience. Did you even proofread your ad before submitting? The headline isn't even grammatically correct and reads like broken English.

Also, what is that image? Blondie looks like she just found out Game of Thrones got cancelled, not that she's excited to "learn how to build her sales process" (whatever that means).

If this ad had been approved, you would have been lucky to see any conversions at all. Hopefully your webinar content is more engaging.

You desperately need a copywriter if you're planning on doing paid advertising for this. I'm afraid you won't be able to connect with your audience the way they need to be connected with, which will ultimately just waste your ad budget.

I agree with everyone else here, you have too much text! A facebook ad (and any other ad for that matter) should be short and to the point. It's indeed quite difficult to create a short text that is also catchy, but such a long ad is not going to convert well..

I've toned it down more and more to get it approved. Responding to Path Theory's comments, my strategy is to find out what's the lowest bid to start off and start creeping up from there. I will think of more ad copies to test, and ultimately shooting for under 0.20 as the intermediate goal.
