What are your best Instagram tips?

Have you tried posting any original content? Original pieces go much farther than re-posted ones, even on social media.

When it comes to Instagram, i also try to comment on at least 10 things a day, i don't know why, but when i started generating traffic with Insta, this is just one of the things that i did.

Yes, I also post original images from time to time. I try to mix it up a bit.

I have also noticed that when I re-post someone's image, that already has hundreds of likes, it helps me get some new followers - and likes on my other images - a lot more than when I post my own original images.

That is why I re-post a lot more!

I have not tried doing the commenting so much. But I should right!

I will try a combination of likes, comments, and re-posting - at 10+ of each every single day.. I used to follow people, so they can follow me back. But it was not really working too well.

I think leaving comments and liking a few images on someone's profile will help you make them follow you. The more you do it, the more it will add up, right!!

Best thing is follow other and you can get 40% follow back but you should know how to follow
Go to big pages on your niche then search for last image that they posted let say 10 min ago
then follow ppl who liked and commented on that image they are interested in your niche and they are online so better chance to follow back
if you don't want to follow then just like their last 3 pic

Good points here!!

I know following others is a way to gain followers back. I did this for a while but was not getting as many followers back as I was expecting.

I think leaving a comment and liking 3 to 5 of people's images can help make them follow you, even if you are not following them!

I post at least 1 pic per account I have per day usually. For now I am using instagress.com to automate my liking, commenting, following and unfollowing. You can only follow 7500 accounts with a new Instagram account so if your using the follow method to get followers back eventually you'll hit 7500 and can't follow anymore so you'll then need to unfollow those who aren't following you back and if you check that option in instagress it will do it for you.

I did it all manually in the beginning but it's just too tedious and time consuming so instagress has been great. I am usually able to get 5000 followers in a month or two with them. However you'll eventually hit the wall and to keep this up you will eventually have to unfollow people who are following you and this will cause you to lose some followers also as their are popular apps out there that let you know who unfollows you and then those people may unfollow you unless you have a cool niche account that they like, like funny video clips or funny memes or fitness related or whatever it is. If they like your account they will stay with you.

You can also pay for shoutouts if you have the money. A shoutout is when a large account post your pic and tells their followers to follow your account and each time you do this you will gain REAL followers. When I built some of my large accounts in the beginning I did it just for fun, followers and likes and that's it. Back then about 2 years ago or so shoutouts were $5 - $10 mostly. Now loads of these account know there in the advertising business and are charging a lot more so it could take $2000 or more to build up to 50k-100k depending on the niche.

But you may want to start with instagress as it's only $9.95 per month so that's like 33 cents per day per account so its very cost effective to get yourself from 0-10k.

Just wanted to give an important tip. When running instagress on an account make sure your logged out of that account on your smartphone or ipad or tablet and ecspecially do not use your account in any way while instagress is running on it or instagram will detect double access to your account from 2 different places and your account will automatically get locked and closed down and it will be gone for good so keep that in mind. I used 20 plus accounts with them with no issue then one day I forgot about my new fitness account and uploaded pics and stuff on my smartphone while it was running on instagress and I lost that account for good. Luckily it was brand new so I didn't lose loads of gained followers which would suck.

Few Instagram tips that are easy-to-follow here

1.) Follow relevant accounts
2.) Post regularly
3.) Use hashtag wisely

The key is the same as normal marketing concept, get noticed from your target group. That's why i recommended to follow others in your industry, if you're their interest you will be likely to get followed back.

If you got followed back from those in irrelevant field, most of the time they will ignore the post and finally unfollow, and bought followers won't generate as much like and exposure as the genuine one does.

Heres another little tip, ever heard of the 5/3/1 method? 5 likes+3 comments=1 follower. Don't use generic comments though. Put some thought into it

Use hashtags that are known to help increase followers
Like hundreds of random pictures from people in your target audience.
Hold a contest on Instagram.
Remember that quality beats quantity. Edit your account to leave only the best images. No one wants to follow someone with thousands of pointless images of food or other random shots.

Make sure your profile isn't private, no point having a business page set as private.
Aside from what you've already said, follow relevant people and they will likely follow back, consider relevant hashtags (this is how people will find you) but don't overuse them, don't try selling on Instagram as people want content that benefits them but building your following should be enough to increase business. If someone follows you, follow them back

Post, post, post!

I have a decent-sized following in a small niche (176k followers), and the trick is to post 4-5 times per day.

Posts that get quick engagement are likely to show up more often in the Explore tab - which is where you're going to get new followers from anyway. So I post during the times of day when mobile usage is highest: early morning, mid-morning, lunch, early evening, late evening.

Use 10-15 hashtags (don't overdo it).

I also buy shoutouts from pages in my niche with more followers than me. It can be expensive (The most I paid was $250) but it can be VERY explosive growth. I got over 10,000 followers in less than 24hrs from a shoutout.
