Help! A Legitimate Youtube Views Of 38,178 But $2.59 Adsense Earning.

Hello, i own youtube channels where i am uploading original videos made by me
and running adsense on them.

But for about 2 weeks now, i have be observing a drastic drop in my youtube views and earning
across all my channels despite the fact that i am uploading videos everyday. But i was thinking it
might due season.

But not anymore. Because 3 days ago i uploaded a video which did 38,178 views and $2.59 in
earning, this is ridiculous. Though of the total 38,178, (36,904) was from a high traffic USA website.

The video in question is 4.56 duration and according to youtube analytics, the USA website traffic
did these with video(Views: 36,904 (100%), Estimated minutes watched: 92,513 (100%),
Average view duration: 2:30).

Please what is really happening? My concern is that with 38,178 views, i should at worst make
between $10 - $20.

  • At the video ad needs to be viewed 30 seconds or until the end, whichever comes first. If people click and stop the ad before then, YouTube and you do not get paid.

Like i stated in the original post, the video is 4.56 minutes in duration and youtube analytics says Average view duration: 2:30mins, so they watch beyond 30 seconds.

      thanks.

This is interesting. What totalprocessing.net said about the 30sec rule for in-between video ads is true. Given that you have a video that's 4.56s means that in-between video ads are out of the question for the monetization part.

So, you're only earning from "before" or "after" ads that may show up.

$2.59 for 38,178 views looks really low on my opinion too... but I'm no big expert in this field/

Could it be that your earning stats are only estimates as of now (you're on third day correct)? I think it takes 7 days or more to see more accurate stat readings.

The video is 4.56mins long not seconds.

Most time their initial estimate is the final estimate, because i have be youtube up to a year now so this is their final estimate which is abysmally low.

      Thanks.

It's hard to tell exactly what is happening. Are clicks and views the same but the amount per click has fallen or is it something else?

Check your YT analytics for a point where there's a big drop off in viewership. Then place an annotation or card just before this point with a clickable link to a page on your site with an affiliate offer, CPA, email capture, etc.

Make sure you have associated a web site to this YT channel so you can have a clickable link to your site right in the video using an annotation or card.

If you have lot of viewers use it to create traffic for your own website ,and then use other monetization methods .

Discussion over Adsense and Google is vague, they pay and rank on basis of their own algorithm ,so we cannot figure out what are issues.

My youtube channels are not niche specific, they are of like general news and everything happening around the world, so it could be difficult to monetize with me re-directing to website.

What are the demographics for your videos? You don't always need to match a niche. Often you can match offers with demographics.

That's really disappointing for sure, try to go direct with agents who can give you better rates..

Adsense earning on youtube really depends on your targeted audience and what your videos are about. A video of gaming can definitely have a lower CPC then a video on something educational due to the fact the advertiser pays more for a different audience

I wish you best of luck in your Youtube Channel!

That's how they make money by paying the minimum possible.

    I'm in the same situation.

My videos will have 500.000 views next month and Google is giving me peanuts.

you need to keep only one ad in videos with any length. Than increase cpc and you'll earn higher. I've tried this and it gives me good results.

    Ouch! That's really low payout.

Is it possible for you to make some sort of exclusivity deal with other networks and get paid higher than that?

What was the major USA site that sent you the 36,904 views related to your video? Typically speaking... is your adsense revenue typically much larger than the $2.59?

Plus.... you should try to drive all your viewers to your own website, than to rely on adsense.. Then you can create your own products, or be an affiliate, and allow people to interact on your site. I think you'd make more from your own products than from Adsense.

What is your video about? Where are the views coming from?

If you have the link to the video that would be great!

I might be interested in maybe a 20 or 40 dollar deal to place a link for me in your description and if I get decent results I would be glad to do maybe a monthly plan. IM me please
