The best Twitter tool that I can recommend is followerwonk.com.

Followerwonk allows you to search for influential people on Twitter based on their biography.

Hootsuite I find to be the most useful to me, I can pretty much do anything there and mainly the scheduling part is what I find really beneficial.

Schedule 5 tweets every day on twitter and I have the month done in an hour.
