nsfw: Hate, the wrong kind of facebook community page and some tips from a guy who tested it.

Hate hate hate.. it is what it is. Just like when some people use keyboards without labels to memorize querty faster, sometimes to grow we must shoot ourselves in the foot to get ahead. This is a seriously explosive niche, especially around the holiday season..

Here's why hate is bittersweet for us;
  • If you put 'hatespeech' in your name you'll never pass review for an advert.
  • You will never be able to spend a $ through facebook for visibility
  • New content will almost never be seen, your primary flow will be from posts/time
  • Traffic bubbles (in my case from Bangalore India) will appear often and fizzle
  • Eventually likes == unlikes, eventually people don't want to see it
  • Compressed content is the best way to spread the word
However most importantly;
We piggyback on how enthusiastic people are to let others know what their gripe is.

Just what is a bubble anyway?
-To put it lightly, a bubble is a set of friends in an area where the content hasn't yet saturated. X shares '10 things I hate about [whatever]', buddy friend Y sees this and shares it- but Y is from India where the culture is fundamentally different. Mr. Y and his whole posse are now interacting with everything on your page, something new that peaks their interest keeps them going.

Bubbles are easier to find if you have friends all over the world, I encourage you to network (I mean, who isn't- if you're reading this you had better be networking anyway.) In order to break into those groups of people, make friends and invite them based on their demographic, have them join the discussion.

NSFW. these two posts I made on the same day.

Compressed-

From this, you see an example of compressed content. Think of it as the only gas station in the desert. Your car runs better on large, simple text. More complicated, less distance. Stay strictly on topic, when you deviate you lose people.

Some quick tips I picked up along the way:
  1. Controversial humor pages are an awful crapshoot
  2. Be pointed. ex; hate this, hate that
  3. Obviously do crosslinking
  4. S4S, share for share and don't be bashful about reaching out
  5. Use your friends list and related media pages to your advantage
  6. Upload videos, don't link them
  7. Automated scheduling will see less timeline priority
  8. Match content post time to frequent user activity

Thanks for reading! I'm always looking to bounce ideas off people and brainstorm, I don't have any time personally to seek out most of mine to fruition so I've got no qualms just sharing what I know. Shoot me a pm if you think I can help

Edit for staff: I'd love a spoiler/nsfw button if possible. Hire me? jk jk ofc
