Question For The Social Media Managers.

For those who do client based social media management. Im new and just starting to learn internet marketing. my question is how do you figure out what content your going to post on behalf of the business your doing the managment for? I know businesses are very picky about what is put out to the public because of the potential of sending out a post that can damage the companies reputation. Do you consult with the client and come up with what kind of content youll be posting or what is the process? now like i said im very new to this and its possible i have no concept of what a social media manager does and their a 90% chance i just sound extremely stupid posting all this however is it is a valid question id love some insight from someone whos been in the business for awhile. look forward to hearing your replys thanks!

    As a social media manager I can tell you that I only post stuff relevant to what the client is doing. They write their own guest posts and blog articles so I have a system on posting them onto social media. Sometimes I post something funny, but still relevant and classy.

    on facebook particularly, we find out what the client's domain of business is and then post content relevant to it.. For eg we were doing social media for a brand that targeted Indian nationals residing all over the world so we started posting things about nostalgia, indian fashion , culture, latest news from india, bollywood styles , who is wearing what in bollywood (Indian film industry).. The brand sells ethnic indian wear.. So we post 4-5 posts per day..2 were of client product and others were of related topics to fashion which ppl would like so that they stick to our page, love our content and then buy from us ..

    There is a tool that can automatically generate suggested posts. Basically, a daily summary of suggested links based on preferred keywords. I post them on our social media accounts.

    I get about 6 suggestions, and I post twice daily. Let me know if you want to know more.
