Monetizing My Youtube Audience

I have an electronic music related youtube channel with a growing audience.

Demographics: 90% Male ages 18-40, very global audience with no dominant country.

I'm looking for related affiliate programs or products to link to in the description box and with annotations inside the videos. Vast majority of the viewers are casual fans of the music.

Other than ads, what would you guys suggest?

I'm thinking about:

-Ticket sales affiliate for music festivals and events
-Teespring shirts related to electronic music
-Music production software & courses
-Beginner DJ equipment on eCommerce stores

Appreciate any ideas or suggestions!

    Hi,

You are on right track. You himself have suggested most of monetizing methods. You can also You can also put others URL in description and make money. You have to contact certain product owners who don't know at all about how to market their product or service. You can charge for putting their URL in your videos description box.

Thanks Pradeep. Can definitely charge for the URLs to be placed in the description box, that's a good option also.

I don't know I may be wrong, actually I don't know what has happen to many visitors or you can say competitors, there is a f***** trend that they keep flaggin videos, and youtube is acting like a damn fool and disable videos just saying your are violating community policies.

If you have a affiliate link or something like this or a website which is not related to the content of the video..

yes, youtube allow you to add your social profiles facebook, twitter and others.

So I would say be careful if you want to promote cpa or other affiliate offer. by placing external links etc. better will be if you add social network links and from there you can divert them to click on your affiliate products etc..

I don't know about others, but I experience this thing..

I'll give you something different to consider.

A Youtube audience, and indeed any video audience, is quite different to most others. The majority like to bounce. And as they bounce from one video to the next, a momentum is developed, and whilst they will of course often click outbound links, this momentum has the effect of giving them relatively short attention spans. Once on your website - they often give a cursory look and, blammo, bounce back to the video site, Youtube, Dailymotion, et al.

A fundamental solution, and really a requirement which should be set in stone for all video marketers, is to route that traffic through an opt-in and sales funnel. In a nutshell: you capture them, in order to market at the time of opting in, and once on your list, you can practice ongoing re-marketing and usually avoid the momentum effect. Video marketing is incredibly powerful. But we must target key audiences and capture them with relevant pages.

Does this apply across the board? eCommerce sites? Blogs? The family hotel that you're promoting? No, of course not. The above is how we take video marketing to the extreme and, in effect, squeeze as much usefulness out of that traffic as possible, but there are obviously mediums where it wouldn't be appropriate.

What do you mean by "electronic music". Isn't all music online electronic? Is this music from all genres of music? If yes, then roll with the Teespring shirts related to electronic music idea you have. Market it well and you can make sales, and backend sales.

Some solid responses in here and I really appreciate everyone's input.

I'm leaning towards a tee spring campaign and perhaps some sort of related mailing list I can have people opt-into with a value add.

Sorry for the bump but just saw this.

There are a few beat / electronic music maker software products on Clickbank.

Sign up as an affiliate and promote those. Great commisions and low refunds I've done it before.

Music production software & courses are highly recommended from me. As tutorials are very popular among people and CPC is also very good.
