Anybody ever had this happen with their Facebook ads

Ok so I'm running sponsored stories ads on Facebook, to get traffic to my viral news site.

It was working fine, I was getting thousands of link clicks for under a penny. (the ads are currently targeted towards a tier 3 country, I never get that low of a CPC when I target US, UK or CA users).

Then for some unknown reason Facebook banned my advertising account. So I wrote them and within a few hours they re-activated my account. All should be back to normal, right?

Not quite.

Now I'm noticing some strange goings on with my ad reporting. I usually check how my sponsored posts are doing via my phone and just a few minutes ago this is what I see on one of my boosted posts

that's a pretty good number ,right?

so I tap on the statistics to get to the insights for that post and now this is what I see.

pretty huge jump from 800+ to 80 link clicks.

so I check this craziness again on my laptop, using the Ad Manager now this is what I see.

Post engagements isn't equivalent to any of the clicks I saw in the first or second pictures I posted. It used to be the same thing, whatever the Post Engagement number was, that's the number of link clicks that Facebook gave me. Now it's all so strange.

Is there an explanation to this madness?

Have any of you guys experienced something similar?

Thanks in advance guys!

That doesn't make sense. You are comparing organic reach with clicks ?

If you would compare post clicks from one place to another would be 313 with 80 and than 242.

First of all, make sure all the settings in the ad campaign are fine, like audience, payments, devices and so on.

Second of all , the clicks displayed under the post aren't always what you get in ad manager. Simply because some people click more than once, maybe some are bots and things like that. And they select what clicks you actually pay for.

And third, keep in mind that statics can't be live time. Would be a nonsense to believe you can see those in real time. So there is a delay somewhere, and when they are shown in analytics you might get updates in packages, like one half hour at a time.

For me, in ad manager are always the same amount but honestly i hardly check it out from mobile. While under the actual post i see more clicks always displayed, i can't complain for the free clicks.

sorry that's a typo meant to say 300+ to 80 and yes what you typed below is correct.

I get this, it's just that the difference is huge now. I used to see a two digit difference maybe as high as 50 clicks between under the post and in insights. First time I ever experienced something this huge, and on two boosted posts as well.

this is that used to happen, there used to be big differences like 50 but as the counter caught up to the actual the discrepancy would get smaller and smaller until there's only about a 5 - 10 click difference. Now it doesn't seem to catch up.

That's another thing, I'm not one to complain about free clicks, BUT checking out google analytics and Jetpack site stats, they're both closer to the number in Insights, rather than the one under the post. I would assume that's the actual number, but why the huge number under the post? That's what's bugging me LOL

      Thanks man
