Why Facebook?

I need your opinion! There are dozens of social networking sites then why do people prefer Facebook over the rest? Moreover, social media marketing too involves Facebook as its prime medium through which the businesses are promoted by sharing their news, products and services on that social network. Why Facebook is the only one which has got so much popularity among youngsters and elderly?

    Facebook is simple, it allows to share opinions, photos. People like to 'like'. Moreover, they can present themselves online and I guess that's what attracts the most of its users. You can also communicate with your friends and not only, so it saves up a lot of time, because you can use it as a communicator.

    I believe Facebook is one of the most popular as well as congested with millions of people around. The Facebook ad campaign do wonders for bringing up the traffic as a part of social media marketing. Through ad-campaign, one can target their audience that see the ads on their timelines based on their searches.

    Google+ and Pinterest are too gaining lot of hype for social media purpose.

    I agree with most of you. An average Facebook user spends about 55 minutes daily on this social networking site. Since it is a very popular social networking site, most businesses prefer Facebook as a medium to promote their products and services on it.

    For purely Social Media purposes, sharing posts, it gives people a place to share literally anything that is on their mind. Anything, and I have seen some doozies!

    For Advertising purposes, they have targeting abilities. You can use your Avatar for your market and target those FBers.

    I have used the first and only studied the second. Will be using this traffic source soon.

    Because Facebook have more then 1.49 billion active user on July 2015 and Work Population is approx 7.0 billion. It means every 7th person is using Facebook. This is the big reason to use facebook.

As compared to other social media sites FB is widely used by the people hence this is the best place for marketing. People are spending more and more time because of additional features provided by the platform like facebook groups for sharing knowledge between group of people.     Since they got Facebook in their cell phones via an app most people can check it regularly. Facebook won over other competitors because the had better privacy to begin with. Compare Facebook to what hi5 is and you will see the difference.

    Also Facebook spammed a lot of email databases from universities on the USA to gain massive users in the beginning.

    All these things are not important in the IM, the important thing is that Facebook is the largest social media, so you can reach million of people throught your ads!
