How to Generate Leads from Social Media?

Hey guys!

I hope you are having a great week!

I want to share my experience on how to get leads from Social Media platforms, which are mostly free. This is all about interaction (not PPC), so it WILL require some time and effort. But the results are AMAZING. Here are my stats from yesterday, just through free social media traffic: Screenshot by Lightshot

The main point here is to become a person of value. That's achieved by giving away your knowledge for free and becoming somebody magnetic. I've seen tons of people trying to push products or services into others, and that's not how it works in my opinion.

If you go to a successful people's party, you'll find they are there making friends. Networking is much more natural. Nobody is trying to sell anything. They are just being friendly and helping each other out. You need to become somebody trustworthy and likeable to your audience. When somebody needs a business opportunity or they want access to your product, they'll ask themselves "Who do I Know, Like and Trust?", and you will be the next logical step.

So back to social media, the main point is to share value. Cross-promotion (that is turning a post into a video, or an image from Pinterest into a Tweet) can work wonders, so you can use the same content over and over again, which is completely fine. You can also use a tool called Buzzsumo.com to find the most popular content in your niche and share that

Once you have created a following, you need a system in place to capture those leads and turn them into potential customers or associates. For an example of a leadmagnet and a funnel you can go to hernanvazquez.com and check it out.

As you will see there, I have a lead magnet in place and then I keep creating rapport with the people that signup via follow up emails. I just give away tons of free value and leads come at me, naturally.

A good image, a good cover, a good picture in your social media profile, it all adds up to the trust you inspire on others, but at the end of the day you'll need to share value, create a following, and capture those leads to turn them into customers.

I'd like to know how you guys are using social media to bring new leads and business to your opportunities as well!

Thanks for your time

Have a great one!

Ok, but after you create the FB page or social media accounts and the sales/lead page how do you get people to start going to those pages?

Great question ! I think the next thing to do will be to post high value content, like @jogunn is saying. That will bring traffic, likes and shares just by the content gravity. Forums are also a gold mine, and highly reputable blogs where you can leave insights and useful comments

How To Generate Leads On Social Media
    1--Promote gated content
Gated content may be the most commonly used lead generation tactic online, let alone on social media. Gated content refers to content that requires you to pass through a specific process, often providing your contact information, in order to access it.
    2--Contests
Contests are an easy way to engage potential prospects and gather valuable information for your sales team. The key is making the incentive something related to your actual product or service.
    3--Social media advertising
A growing tool for social media lead generation, social media advertising is particularly valuable because of its advanced targeting opportunities. Where normal social media posts can be targeted to a limited extent, based on geography or certain groups for example, social media ads can get far more granular in terms of audience.
    4--Hosting a hangout or webinar
Hosting a Google+ hangout is a great way to put your business directly into contact with prospects. Hangouts can be limited to a few people or be opened up to anyone online. When you limit the size of a hangout, you might require people to register in advance.
    5--Geotargeted social media search
For many businesses, connecting with a local audience is key to creating awareness and expanding their customer base. Many companies do geotarget their social media posts and ads in order to reach the audiences closest to their business. But far fewer businesses are taking advantage of geotargeting in search.
    6--Targeted social media listening
A final tactic for social media lead generation is targeted listening. Social media listening can mean everything from creating search Twitter search streams and lists to participating actively in Facebook and LinkedIn groups.

    Thanks for your post!

Providing unique, engaging content can increase your audience and help get you noticed. A big part of it all is being consistent - making sure you are posting content frequently and interacting with any users that are joining in on your conversation. Hiring on a social media manager can be useful for small companies that do not have the manpower to keep all of their platforms updated and interactive.

Proving your worth will come with the content that you are putting out there. Make sure you are sharing high-quality, professional content.
