Formal or informal with friends?

Do a normal post about nothing = hundreds of likes.
Post that I launched a website = .....

How much promoting within your private network is acceptable and should you just keep it casual?

    Keeping it casual is best. There are so many people who have friends or family that are involved in some weight loss scheme, tupperware parties, etc. that they start to tune out anytime anyone mentions that they are launching a product/business. If you are creating content on your website that would be interesting to them - a helpful article, video, image - you could occasionally share those on your personal page without annoying friends and family.

    Don t worry if your friend (freom your personal profile)
    don t put like on your business post: better is to get targetted traffic instead a big amount of pointless traffic!

    If it's a legit company or product people know you've been working on that's fair game.

    Imagine being at a big party. You know a few people and of course the host. Your talking to someone you know and they introduce you to someone they know. Do you say "Hi I sell widgets, would you like me to tell you about them." or would you start by making small talk to get to know them better.

    Sorry, just making a point that it is important to get to know someone and build trust and friendship before talking shop. It's like that in the real world as well as on the net.
