Facebook Group Advertising Methods.

Hey everyone.

Just a quick question.

We all know that Facebook groups can contain a huge array of potential customers from the niche's that we all work within.

What is the best approach in these groups to try and target and land customers, without coming across as a spammer and breaking any in house rules?

Ive found a good way is to actively keep check on relevant posts and PM any potentials and introduce myself/service...

Any ideas welcome

Cheers

J

    Dangerous move.

In a perfect world, it might be an ideal move. But in a world of mass FB messaging (mostly with bots), any unsolicited direct messaging on a network like Facebook will lead to an account ban and a blacklisted IP, email, and user agent. It only takes a handful of people to receive an unsolicited message and click on the "Report Spam or Abuse" button and - blammo - you're gone. Which is no big deal of course for those who auto-create and phone-verify 10,000 accounts each week across different IPs, but for us white hat chaps - and I'm guessing you're WH, too - losing your sole account presents all kind of problems.

So what do you do? A hundred things. Here's one.

    Information.

I honestly cannot remember a time when I was a "surfer" (a non-marketer). I mean, I remember the time, just not much about the time. But if I was to join a group today, for a reason outside of generating an income from it, the reason would be information. For example: I like to collect movie memorabilia. I might therefore join a group about it (I haven't). Now if you come along and share a post from a page (that you own/ control) on the subject of movie memorabilia and if that post is not promotional but information-oriented then I'm going to visit it and have a read and I'm going to be able to do that because the chap who runs the group won't have deleted it.

Information has always and will always wear a gold crown online. The players at the top know this and profit from it.

I am agree with tom, Sharing information is the best way to interact with FB group but if you find a potential client etc you can approach him directly, you ID will be get banned or suspended only if you force someone again & again or use wrong words.

Its not like you introduce your self and the other person will click abuse button.............

  • Thanks very much guys for the comments.

I had already directly, with a soft approach contacted some " Newbies " all of which so far have been fine about me messaging them, and are interested in my product.

But are you saying me that this is a absolute no no?

It's more a matter of how you go about it. Contacting them once is probably not an issue. But if they don't reply to you or they tell you no and you persist, then you're likely to get reported.

make your post like you share something and dont make your post like spam. If your join group and have active interactive in there join conversation with another member.

dont forget if you have list more than 1 group that you join , make a little different word between in group A and Group B(just like spintax word) .

Its harder and harder to post to Facebook in groups. Because of the spam filters you can't post more than 10 lets say per hour...

    As mentioned above; bad move.
Do that to me and I and a lot of other people will report you to Facebook. You will eventually be banned.
