Facebook marketing - which option is better?

Hello everyone!

I want to slowly but surely build a potential buyer pool for a poetry ebook I want to sell.

So, on facebook is it better to:

A) Open and grow a general page in my niche, where I'll post poems, inspiring videos and lectures etc. Something like the existing pages 'Word Porn' and 'Spirit Science'. Then grow it with facebook PPC, and after the page has large following, try and divert some of it to a list/selling page?

Or is better to:

B) Open a proffesional page of myself as a writer, and pump it up with a facebook PPC for the same purpose?

Sorry for the bad english, it is not my native tongue. All my poems go through proof reading though.

Thank you for your time!

Personally I would do as the plan B. Professional site seems to be professional  it brings more trust and people like it more.

I agree with Brian Brown. It's more professional to have a real website with everything on it and then just use Facebook as a way to communicate with your potential buyers.

I agree with all of the above. It will be more professional and profitable to follow the plan B.

      Cheers you guys!

Wouldnt a general page, to which I can share good quality links, videos, and posts made by other ppl, could gather a bigger crowd?

And into that general page I could sometimes slip some of my work with a link to my website?

Isn't liking a page by an unknown person, is something most ppl wouldnt do, as opposed to just liking a page that has to do with a topic they love?
