Need to posts business related daily on social profiles, shares them to niche groups, have to involve in the comments with replies, direct messages to the audience.....though you get social traffic.

Nothing more important then keep yourself in touch with your regular postings , replying to others and putting some interesting comments also follow other's pages of your interest and show them your involvement in all activities

You may also try to conduct freebies or giveaways in your Facebook page to increase likes, comments, and shares.

You may also try to reach out to local bloggers to blog about your website or do guest posting.

You may also do banner ads to Facebook. You may also try to promote your website on Youtube and see how you can get traffic from that site as well.

Don't forget Twitter, Pinterest, Stumbleupon, and Reddit, these are also great social websites to get a huge chunk of traffic. You just need to build a good audience and the ROI of these platforms is just phenomenal and the good thing about Twitter is you can easily schedule posts for weeks or months. Which means you just need some hours to schedule posts and then you'll get traffic without worrying about posting for days. www.tweetdeck.twitter.com is really a good website to schedule Twitter posts.

Facebook advertising is really powerful and you can attract more customers by simply offering some freebies or other gifts. BTW coupons are already enough to grab the attention

So you just need to focus on your strategy, because your customers are ready to buy that stuff, you just need to guide them the right way.

I think you should go with Pinterest since there's mostly women on there, and everyone knows the majority of women are impulse buyers.

Create a couple of cute images for each discount and start spreading them around large boards, don't forget to include a link to your website in each image.

I would suggest put out relevant content consistently, make attractive graphics to market with and try out Facebook ads for a week and see how that does for you. You can run an ad with a budget as low as $1 a day and target your chosen audience.

Driving social traffic to a site does not mean using only social media platforms. Even by commenting or offering solutions on forums like this one is one form of driving traffic.

Additionally, your coupon site may also double up as a blog on say, promotional marketing topics. Blogging allows one to use keywords in quality content creation, and this is another way you can draw traffic to the site.

My unqualified and speculative 2c...

I think your work is cut out, to be honest. Most successful coupon sites are well established and rely on strong search engine rankings. Unlike 'hot deals' sites, people only tend to visit coupon sites when they are seeking a discount for a particular item. They're not for casual browsing so much.

That said, I do have a thought for how I'd try to make it work:

Do a niche-specific coupon site. I haven't yet come across a coupon site dedicated to Wordpress plugin discounts. A site like that could be easily branded and grow quicker via IM communities. If it becomes robust, you might be able to negotiate special discount offers with plugin makers. That'd make such a website a must-visit for developers.
