A Step-By-Step Plan To Make $3,000 Per Month Online Using YouTube
It might of took awhile, but I persevered until I made it work.
Guess how I did it?
I was able to start making $100 and even $300 a day by combining YouTube video marketing and list building.
Up until that point I was doing paid surveys, article marketing, and freelancing, but I wasn't making any consistent or significant income.
So, once I tried video marketing and saw the results I was getting, I began to scale up my efforts, and as a result, my income began to increase.
If you'd like to make $3,000 per month, there are many ways to do it, but right now I'm going to show you one way you can achieve that income with YouTube.
Choose a evergreen problem you can solve with videos.
I was obsessed with basketball for the majority of my life and I knew I could help athletes improve their game by creating 5-10 minute videos covering ways to improve their jump shots, ball handling, scoring ability, and etc...
So, I recommend you choose an evergreen problem that you have experience dealing with.
It could be dating advice, self improvement, Golf skill development, marketing advice, weight loss, fitness, muscle development, etc....
There are tons of evergreen issues that you can help solve with 5-10 minute videos.
So, choose a niche/problem to solve that is proven to be profitable and will be worth your time.
Find a product(s) to promote that will solve the problems within your niche.
I was able to leverage Clickbank and promote products as an affiliate to the people who were viewing my videos.
You need to have products to promote to ensure you will be able to monetize your efforts early. You could monetize your efforts by becoming a YouTube partner, but you would be required to generate a large amount of traffic very quickly to make any significant money with YouTube's partner program.
So, it would be wise to search Clickbank, Jvzoo, warrior plus, or any legitimate affiliate network for related products you can promote to your viewers.
I recommend you find at least 3 products you can promote in your niche, and make sure the products are of good quality. You also want to make sure the sales pages/sales videos are compelling enough to get people to see the value of the products.
So, now you have a niche/problem to solve, and you have 3 products you can promote that will solve that particular problem.
Now you need a squeeze page. As I mentioned early, I was able to make $100 and over $300 in a day because I was sending my viewers to a squeeze page and building an email list.
I recommend you do the same. You will need a domain, hosting, and an autoresponder.
You can create a squeeze page very quickly by using plugins and platforms such as, optimize press, wp sales copy, instabuilder, or clickfunnels. Those are just a few of the ones I recommend, but there are also free alternatives you can find by doing a quick google search.
In order to ensure your squeeze page is effective, you have to give something of value away for free, to the audience in your niche.
For example, when I got started, I would give away a free ebook that would show my viewers how to increase their vertical jump and potentially dunk the basketball.
My headline was "FREE Ebook Shows You How To Add Instant Inches To Your Vertical Jump". I also had another squeeze page where I gave away a free report that showed people how to train like an elite basketball player.
I am my market so it was easy for me to come up with a free giveaway for my squeeze page because I know what my market is interested in and what would make them sign up to my email list.
At the end of the free report or ebook, I would end by saying something like this...."I hope you enjoyed this free ebook, if you apply the steps in this ebook you will notice instant improvement to your vertical jump. If you want to know how to add 10 inches or more to your vertical jump in the next 90 days, check this out: "link to affiliate offer"
I would cloak my affiliate link (because it was really ugly) by using bitly or tinyurl.
You don't want to scare people away from clicking your affiliate link which usually looks like it's going to take them to a site filled with hundreds of viruses.
I knew that if I wanted to make a passive income I would have to upload a couple emails to my autoresponder that would give away valuable free content, but also promote my affiliate offers.
I started with 7 emails. I would write 4 content emails and 3 promotion emails and I would alternate between the two.
For example, on day 1 I would introduce myself and give my subscribers their free ebook.
Then on day two I would send out a content email with free valuable content, then on day 3 I would send out a promotion of my affiliate offer. I would continue to alternate between content email and promotion email for 7 days.
Then I would repeat the 7 day email sequence for a different product.
I got to the point where I had over 60 automated emails going out to my subscribers.
And till this day I still make affiliate sales from the efforts I made years ago.
Now, it's time to create your YouTube channel and start creating videos.
Creating a YouTube channel is a simple process. Choose a name that will brand your channel in such a way that people will know what your channel is about before they even watch a video.
For example, if you were in the dating niche, you could name your channel "Super Dating Advice", or "John Doe Dating".
Once you've named your channel, you want to choose a relevant image and background cover to help with your branding. If you want to be the face of your channel then you can use a picture of yourself, if not, then you can find a picture related to your niche and use that.
Now, once your channel is created you can start creating videos. When it comes to creating videos, I recommend power-point presentations while you speak in the background. In your video you want to provide a solution to a problem.
Most of the time I will create a how-to video. For example, I would create a video like, "How to shoot a basketball" or, "How to improve your ball handling".
If you don't know the problems in your niche then you need to do some research. I recommend you do some keyword research. Find out what keywords people in your niche are searching for. You can use the free Google Keyword tool. You can also find keywords by looking at what other people in your niche are doing.
Once you know the problems in your niche you can start finding the answers to those problems. You can easily find any solution to any problem by reading a couple articles or watching a couple videos online.
Then you can take the most important parts from what you learned, and summarrize it in a 5-10 minute power-point presentation. Use screen-capture software such as camtasia, camstudio, or screen-cast-o-matic to record your videos. You will also need a microphone to record your voice. You also have the option to outsource your videos, but I don't recommend that because I don't do that.
Start by creating and upload 1 video per day. Make sure your videos are based around keywords and phrases people are searching for on YouTube and Google.
Incorporate your keywords in your title as well.
End your videos with a call-to-action. Tell your viewers about your free ebook or free report and then tell them the name of the website where they can get it.
When I was uploading videos I was truly focused on answering the questions that people truly needed help with. I recommend you focus more on helping people than you do on making money. I believe that is one of the main reasons why I was able to make this work.
Lastly, you need to send some backlinks, and high retention views to your videos to help them rank on the first page of YouTube and Google. There are no guarantees, but at the very least, your videos will rank higher in the search engines, and if your video is actually helpful, it will naturally work it's way up the rankings once people start to view, and share your videos.
I recommend you go to fiverr.com and find someone who will send 1,000+ social bookmarking links to your video. Then finds someoneone who will send 1,000+ high retention views to your videos.
Doing this will speed up your results and help you break your way into the market.
You can also hire someone on Fiverr to send likes to your videos, which also helps with rankings.
- Let your personality shine in your videos. Don't be afraid to be funny or polarizing if that is the way you're. You have to stand out from the crowd. Talking like a perfect robot is not going to help you stand out from the crowd.
- Keep your videos short and sweet. Keep your videos under 10 minutes. 5 minutes is ideal, but sometimes you might need more time to get your point across.
- Be consistent. The only way this will work for you is if you commit to it. Go on a 30 day challenge where you must upload at least 1 video per day. I went on a 30 day challenge where I made 2-3 videos per day, and my income increased significantly. The more videos you make, the more people you will be able to help, which will lead to more subscribers, and more affiliate commissions.
- Don't get distracted. You will always be tempted to join a new shiny opportunity that might come your way, but you must ignore any and all other opportunities and focus on making this work. Chances are if you can't make this work, then you probably won't be able to make anything else work because this is one of the easiest methods I've come across.
