How much to charge for instagram post

Hi, I have a 30k page with active followers in my niche, and somebody asked me how much I would charge to promote their app via contest.

The contest would be held on their app, and I would obviously promote the contest through my page.

How much would one charge for that?

While on the subject of charging people, How much should I charge people to advertise on my IG in general?

I am just looking to find out like a general/ ballpark pricing since I have never charged for something like this and don't want to overprice it to scare them away.

    It will depend how your page engagement. A good measure is how many likes you get per post on average? A 30k page with good engagement ratio should have around 800 to 1200 likes per post on average.

    If you have a good engagemnet as explained , it will also depend on your niche but on average you should charge:

    30 minutes post: $10
    1 hour post: $15
    3 hours post: $30
    6 hours post: $50

    One thing you should do also is contact the large accounts and ask for their rates. You will notice they vary a bit but you can get some good ideas of what people are charging as the rates keep going up as everyone is wising up to the fact that their basically in the advertising game which can be very lucrative.

    Here are a bunch of accounts from my Instagram thread you can look them up on Instagram and contact them through their email or Kik from the bio and ask for their rates:

    A little tip: when you email them mention the name of their account and their following size in the email to them so when they reply you know which account your dealing with otherwise it will be hard to keep track of.

    I would say that each advert comes with its own price. taking for example the ad where one has to participate in a challenge and later be declared a winner, you will have to get involved in more than just placing a picture on the page. be sure that the cost you are charging is worth your time and effort you have invested. Avoid giving very low price quotes so as to win the contract. Better pay highly and do a very good job.

    just check on how much they will earn from that page in hours or days then you can agree on how to charge. you can charge depending on likes, mentions, per hour or per day.

      Good point. Not only can you simply charge more because of the size of your following but you can also factor in engagement to the cost. More engagement means you can certainly charge more. So be active with your account(s). Even if you use automation like Instagress or FollowLiker and you use generic comments people will respond to those automated comments so it's good to replay back to those comments to increase engagement and helps with keeping your account active.

    You can try to contact those people who have been doing this for a long time, ask their price etc. Then you can compare your profile and theirs, good luck!

      If it is against the rules, it seems as easy as calling the post a "shout out" to make it look harmless

    The wider and active base of the audience you have, the much you need to charge the clients. I just thinking if you are able to have 80% of the followers participating in the challenges, how much traffic will the app being marketed get. be sure to charge a reasonable amount. I do charge people $200-$5000 on such like promotions. I have numbers and I promise traffic, you need to pay for them. Dont be too mean to yourself, as long as you have the loyal clients, command the price.
