question about share bar

Hi, I use a social share bar Wordpress plugin. The counter under one of the buttons does not show. Support didn't respond, so I am thinking of switching to another plugin. If I get rid of this one, will the numbers go back to zero, or will the new one count the existing shares? I would think the new plugin would get the correct info from the sites, but I don't feel sure. Thanks.

    From what I know the counting comes from the amount of links found on social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and so on. It's not stored in the actual plugin.

    If you submit your post to twitter, you should be able to see the counter increase, even if you haven't used the share button.

      I think you are correct... shouldn't have anything to do with the plugin.
