Hi all, I am new to FB ad. I launched my very first ad yesterday around 7:30 PM to promote my fan page and so far no signs of impression or activity and it's been 20 hrs. I also check my fan page no likes at all. My daily reached is right under 1200 people. Am I suppose to see any likes within this time frame? Is there something I missing?

    Ok NVM! My ad just reached 13 people right now as I'm typing. LOL.

    Holy cow! 13 people reached and 1 like. Cost me over a dollar!

    Why so much? Anybody want to chime in?

      Yes, You should modify your ad, use low cost keywords then setup manually CPC bid (eg. 0.05).

      I got +120 clicks to my website for $3.86.

        Hi thanks! My daily budget is $5.00 and I try bidding lower but it says my budget is too low. Why is that?

        I may have to delete my interest and choose a different one.

    Play about with the demographics and keywords, evidently you are targeting terms or demographics other people are bidding for.

      I just discover a strategy for paying extremely low on facebook.

      Example : $0.0002 per view and its super targeted.

      Its a whole lots more than what you think...
      Thanks for sharing but right now I need to get likes to my fan page. I don't have any videos at the moment but that seem like a really good idea to implement sometime in the future!

        @student704,

        When you a putting a viral video ad in front of a 1million+ viewers, you are are almost guaranteed to get page likes along with a massive amount of engagements long as your ad is optimized with a call to action. If you need help I am willing to share and explain better in more detail how to make it work for you.

      @student704,

      This is some of the best advice that I seen posted to your question. If you are paying over $1.00 for a single engagement and a few viewers, you are throwing away money! Im paying $0.0001 per view and directing thousands of targeted clicks to whatever offer I am actively running or testing. The strategy also works well if I just want to send traffic to a list I'm building. Easy money once you automate the entire process!

    First you need to findout the best keywords relevant to your promotion and check the competition & searched on them, then start bigging on those keywords. When you'll get the all the details then compare all those keywords with each other on behalf of their cost, searches & competition. And select the best keywords from all of them. And one more suggestion, if you can increase your budget, it would be so beneficial for you.

    Instead of that you can participate in the communities relevant to your business/product/page. And aware people about your fan page & share some information among them to engage them and allow them to visit your fan page.

    I hope it'll be beneficial for you.!

    What is your strategy for turning those Facebook leads into customers, student704? The reason I ask is that I would personally much prefer using my Facebook ad spend to get email leads versus Facebook page likes. I've gotten email leads for as low as 19 cents each, and that way, I own the relationship. I can then market to them directly via email, versus relying on organic reach from Facebook, which is so small these days.

      Hello maryefern,

      What is your niche?
      19 cents seams very low.
      do you send traffic to a squeeze page or do you use facebook leads ds? : https://www.facebook.com/business/news/lead-ads-launch

      Hey Maryefern, that's all good if you're paying ads to get leads. I don't really want to send them to a squeeze page because I don't have anything to offer yet. I am still in the beta testing mode. I want to start getting likes as soon as possible, post content that hopefully can get some engagement THEN market to these people later on.

    I think you should target deeper by using "narrow further" in power editer of Facebook Ad...by that way, you can filter out the better audience.

      Beside target the ads, you may pay attention to the design ads. Make a design that is attractive and inviting curious for fanpage. Design is the main factor of others willing to visit and might want to follow further something from you.

      I Hope it's useful for you

        @student704,

        @Luwis is right. Optimizing your Fanpage is crucial for success. Granted there are a million other variables that could take place to determine your outcome, but starting with the basics of creating an optimized social profile takes you a long way.
