Not getting any views?

Hello,

I am totally new and clueless about social media and self promotion.

I have created my first YouTube music video of an original song I wrote. It seems that my 20 personal freinds like it but there seems to be no traffic in terms of views.

No views and no comments !!

I published it on Dec-25/2015.

Many articles say that the title and tags are important, so I did put a nice tittle and some tags that reflect potential searches.

But that still doesn't do it.

How does one promote his music video witthin the internet's social media scheme without coming across as needy or desperate?

    Yes, title and tags are very important to get you in search. To get more views you can share your YouTube videos on social media and submit videos on video submission sites.

      Well maybe your friends doesn't have youtube accounts or not interested in youtube social media.
      Try to make friends with other youtubers.
      And also having a good quality music video / content will help your channel/videos shareable to earn more traffics.

    I believe you should upload your video on facebook, because facebook's priority nr.1 is video content. You could get more views this way if you don't know how to promote your youtube video. Moreover, facebook ads could help you spread your video much cheaper than on youtube. Just an idea! Good luck
