Facebook buisness page help needed please

Hi all and Happy New Year

Its been a long tie since I have been on here but I am hoping someone could help with some advice if possible please.

We run a kickboxing club which has 4 separate classes in separate locations with a Facebook page for each which the members can check in or we can post updates to the timetables ect etc It is all linked together with the 'locations ferature'

As well as the 4 'satellite' pages we have a main page which has the most likes and the one which gets the most traffic on.

The question I am asking is that about 6 months ago we have noticed a big decline in the post reach, which is fair enough as we are not looking to get 100000's of likes as it is more local people we are trying to reach and more importantly our own existing students. Every now and then we will boost the posts if we think it is important etc but we notice that the students who like the pages don't even see the un-boosted posts on their timelines at all. In fact even as the admin, I don't even see them!! y wife who is also an admin doesn't see them either without going directly to the page!

I know this has been asked plenty of times before my first port of call was Facebook itself but the same admin just kept posting the same article on how to make your posts more engaging etc...

All we want to do is to be able to reach out to our existing students while attracting new ones, surely this is the idea of a business page!!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I have seen this as well. My regular posts do not get much views. If I post regularly, it helps. More than ever, it seems that Facebook wants businesses to pay for posts.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm not against the idea of paying for a post every now and then, after all it is for business use. What I don't want to do is spam everyone's timeliness with stuff that has no relevance or meaning to them all I want to do is reach the people that have liked the page to pass on information.

When you 'boost' a post where does it show up? Is it in the time lines as normal but with 'sponsored' on it? Can they be set to only reach the people that like the page and not friends of?

    1) I second datermax...interesting content is a great medium.
    2) Share your posts in group pages (local/geocity) to get more reach/impressions
    3) Try other SMC's like Twitter, G+ or Pinterest get more fresh followers/likes
