How To Get Traffic To Your Website Using Instagram?

I hear a lot of rumors of people earning a ton of cash from Instagram. How is this possible if you can't even place hyperlinks below your images. I am in the bodybuilding/fitness niche and the best I can do is put my website url below my promotions.

As you can see, the link below the text on my instagram post is not clickable, so it's unlikely somonee is going to go through the trouble nowadays to copy and past or type that url from their mobile device, then head on over to paste it into their internet browser. Why bother?



Why doesn't Instagram just allow hyperlinks to be placed?

And if you do get traffic from instagram how can you tell it's from instagram when you check analytics? If anybody here makes money from instagram, I'd like to know your secrets, and I'm sure other marketers would like to know to

    They might be getting traffic by some means of promo and they must be real active on instagram as it is true that hyperlinks are not possible on instagram.

    Yes it is possible, there are a few ways you can make an earning on Instagram. You need to mention that "check the offer in the link of bio" or something like that because the link in you bio is clickable.

    1. offers in your link in bio
    2. sell shoutouts, if your instagram has a good follower base. you can sell posts for like a few hours or more or endorse brands etc

    A thing i have noticed about IG is that if you dont have the tracking setup for it; Analytics will show this as direct traffic.

    Put a link in your bio.
    Mention the link in your bio with your posts.

    Like people's pictures
    Follow related people
    Follow people who follow your competitors
    Use instafollow or a similar app to unfollow people who don't follow you back
    Post interesting things
    Don't spam
    Don't follow people who look like accounts selling things, look for real images of people exercising, or overweight people etc
    Pay for instagram ads
    Ask other accounts for a shout out

        I find a great way to get likes, comments and followers is using a paid service called "instamacro".

            Very helpful advice matt.

            I do use growth hash tags every now and again, but I tend to use more niche related hastags as I'd rather get targetted likes, comments and shoutouts.

            I'm not a fan of fake followers as I know there are a lot of paid services that offer them. I'm gonna start looking at other fitness and bodybuilding Instagram accounts to see what kind of images to post and how they are getting lots of followers.

            If anyone else has any suggestions and tweaks I can make to improve my account, i'd love to hear from you.

    We work with a local guy who has his own software similar to instagress but much more intricate. It does all the follow, unfollow, likes, etc but something he always focuses on is making sure we have consistent content every day. So I think there's a lot you can do that's helpful but solid content and consistent posting over time will always prevail.

      Hi brewmeister, I'm am using Instamacro but It looks like instagress might be a little bit cheaper. I'll give it a trial to see if it's just as good as instamacro. With so many social media sites and an website to manage. I find it hard to keep up, but I'm getting there slow but surely. Thanks

    Add a shorted version of your URL when you leave comments. Watermark your images. Highlight popular posts or roundups. Include a price tag on your product photos. Place a call to action on images. Invest in Instagram ads. Leverage the reach of influencers. Host contests and giveaways
