Youtube marketing is awesome for affiliate! It's one of the easiest ways to start making money from affiliate imo. Review some products (proper reviews not just crappy 1 minute intro's) and ram it at the top of YT to get some affiliate cash rolling in.

You should take the time to look around WF, the Main Forum is not where you post everything under the sun......

There is only one person who knows the answer to this: You.

How can you allow your whole business plan (if you have one) to be influenced by strangers on a forum?

You are not going to make many friends here if you ask people to post their earnings and strategies. Hit the search button; there are hundreds of threads/posts about YouTube marketing. Take a few hours and read through them and use whatever information you unearth to make a decision as to the direction you want to go in.

    Sami,

Youtube's huge plus is that it is essentially a giant search engine.

However, it has its own rules and like anything else it takes commitment and consistency to grow anything there.

From what I've seen in watching game walkthrough and product review channel owners, it's very slow at the beginning. Those first 10,000 subscribers come at a snail's pace.

The growth is definitely exponential. The persistent ones seem to get to around 20,000 after two years. The following year it goes to 40K. Then 100K. Then 200K. So the jumps get larger, faster. I saw one well-known youtuber go from 250K to 500K very quickly...after watching him struggle from 100K - 250K for quite awhile.

Yogi Bera would fit right in here, if I could reverse one of his quotes: "It's so popular because everybody goes there."

But you have to stick with it.

Now the nice thing is that people are DEFINITELY looking for reviews of whatever it is you want to promote.

When I am looking at a new piece of tech, I go on YT and look for reviews.

    Here's what *I* look for:

    > longer than 2-3 minutes

    > no computer-spoken voiceovers (you know that weird Hawking voice)

    > no music-only slides

    > more than just the technical features on the box repeated on the slides

    > actual personality, discussing the pros and cons.

The truth is there are a lot of crap reviews on YT.

If you're thinking that a 2 minute vid of the features listed on the box done up on slides with an electro track running behind it will do, think again.

This is going to be work.

Are you ready for the work?

Lon Seidman is a reviewer who I have seen over the past year or so, and finally subbed to last month. Watch in this annual wrap-up vid how he discusses what's happened to a friendly reviewer, and then his own channel stats, starting at around 5:50:

Listen to what he says about the "general case", what happens with YT revenue sharing and what people are doing about their business models.

Lon's own "year in review stats" start at around 7:40. Here's a guy who's pumping out great content and these are his numbers.
