15 Places to Curate Content for Your Social Media Accounts
Sometimes the things that get shared most and get you the most attention have absolutely nothing to do with your brand. Of course, you still want to share that - it's why they follow you but add some fun and trending stories too.
15 WAYS TO SHARE ON SOCIAL MEDIA WITHOUT MAKING THE CONTENT YOURSELF
Coming up with ideas to write about is easy at first. As time goes on though you start to get a little flat. Here are a few ways to share content without having to write it yourself (almost):
Vine.co - find something funny, cute, or helpful and share it (embed)
Pinterest.com - find a recipe, helpful tip, or quote from the Popular category and Embed onto your site
Youtube.com - look up your topic and find a video under 3minutes to share (embed) ex. Music, tip, howto, funny, or fun fact
Mashable.com - look for a popular (trending) story that fits your audience (doesn't need to be niche specific)
Buzzfeed.com - Select something trending, funny, cute, or a fail to share
MemeCreator.com - select browse, top views, and select one that fits your audience OR Make your own
Google.com/Trends - select a trending topic or search for a topic using the search bar
Facebook Trends - select a story from Trending stories on the right side of your FB
profile screen (trending, politics, science and technology, sports, and entertainment)
Twitter Trends or Moments - select a topic from "trending topics" or click on "Moments" to see top stories
Quotes from BrainyQuotes.com - select a "quote of the day" or sign up for a free account and save some quotes for future social sharing (you can share an image or text quote)
DailyInfographic.com - share the daily infographic or select a category and browse. You can also search a specific topic from the search window (spyglass)
Shout outs - stick stuck? Select a few of your fans/followers to recommend OR do a shout out to some groups you belong to OR boards you are a curator for
MentalFloss.com - share a quiz, an amazing fact, list, fun, or food
iTunes.com - share a podcast or a popular song (top 100 downloads)
NationalDayCalendar.com - select a celebration or observance and share it OR create your own National Day
Do you use other sources to curate content from? Share below, I'd like to add it to the list.
p.s. you can totally have your assistant do this work for you.
