Your Strategy For Twitter Followers?

So... what's your strategy to build a Twitter following? I'm new at Twitter. I made an account 2 days ago, followed about 25 influental accounts in my niche and in turn got followed by about 30 people who are also following those accounts. That's pretty cool.

I've heard many people start off with buying a few hundred twitter followers when they first start out in order to gain "social proof", meaning real people are more likely to follow them if they already have a decent perceived following. Have you tried this, and what's your general take on this?

Also, do you use the follow-me/follow-you technique? Do you follow back anyone who follows you? Do you follow people just to get a follow back?

What may be some other techniques you are using?

Cheers

Do not buy followers. You will look like an idiot. They are fake and wont interact with your profile. The end result is that you have a bunch of followers and a bunch of posts with no engagement. How does that look in terms of "social proof"?

I do not follow back everyone who follows me. I follow back only those whose niche are related to mine. Additionally, I do not follow those who do not have a header and profile picture.

It is better just to go through twitter and find people of interest and follow them. They will most likely follow you back.

Don't have the time to write emails that will get opened, read and your reader to take action then leave me a message. I will get back to you within 48 hrs.

Just posted this on somebody elses thread, but same answer can apply to this thread.

I'll admit, I have bought followers, but not in the way most people do. What I did was pay someone like 7 or 8 bucks with a list of verified followers who follow back. About 50 out of 75 followed me and as long as you send them a friendly PM and comment on some of their stuff they will begin to engage in your posts. There's some well known celebrities out there who are pretty nice and will get conversations going with you
It's pretty plain and simple, but if you need help just send me a PM. The cool thing about getting people with a lot of followers to follow you is that their followers will follow you too most of the time. You can slowly start building an audience of people around this. But whatever you do... DON'T MAKE YOUR TWITTER LOOK LIKE A BUSINESS ACCOUNT. I've tried it before and it is so dumb, it's better to be a real person. That way you won't get a high bounce rate.

I look for people with similar interests and people who would directly benefit from the content I publish such as small business owners and digital business owners. I also follower anyone I admire , find funny or interesting I like to share interesting content in return for the content other people take the time to share with me. I unfollow most people who don't follow me back unless they Tweet really great stuff. I have noticed after spending an hour or so looking for new people to follow/unfollow also brings a flurry of activity to my page and I get a surge of new followers. I would recommend to always introduce yourself to new followers as much as you can and interact with people, likes and re tweets go down well as it is very rewarding to see someone has enjoyed your hard work , this builds goodwill amongst your fellow followers and Tweeters and in turn exposes you to an even larger audience. This may all take a bit longer but is without a doubt worth it.

    2) Look for influencers in your niche and follow their followers. You can also follow your competitors' followers so you can get their attention.

Few real followers are better than millions of bot and fake followers. The best way to waste money and time seeking for followers is to pay to buy fake followers.

There is so much ways to do on how to increase your followers on Twitter rather than buying a bunch of uninterested ones. Buying followers on social media is not an assurance of a real life customer. It only gives you a thought of having a lot of prospective buyers but in reality, these people does not really cares about your business.

Follow as many people as you can per day without getting banned.

Retweets, like people's tweets. And post quality tweets. There is really not much more to it. And also use external sources of course.
