Do Pinterest images work well on Instagram?

I am doing a Pinterest campaign and thinking of repurposing all my images onto Instagram. Is this a good idea, or one that's bound to fail due to platform differences between the 2?

On Pinterest I upload: infographics, Articles titles with pretty backgrounds, and repin viral images that are pretty/insightful to my target demo.

Infographics definitely will not work. Keep in mind you cannot zoom them on IG, plus they get cut to a square. Furthermore Inforgraphics are not the type of content users are looking for on instagram.

  Visually pleasing photos, also they don't cut it out in a square anymore, but you still cannot zoom.
