Like said above but I'll add more when you get a decent following like 25k-100k or more you can put your email address and/or Kik username(instant messaging app) in your Instagram accounts bio and say for Business Contact and then your email or kik. What you can do is offer people shoutouts and promos since you have access to a large audience once you have a big following you can basically offer advertising opportunities to people and businesses. A shoutout is when you post someones pic and in the comments or even right on the pic they can say follow this cool new account and you put their account name in the comments like 3-5 times on top of each other with the @ symbol in front so they are active clickable links so people can go to their account and follow them if they wish. This will get people REAL active Instagram followers and there is no shortage of people on Instagram who want more followers. And similar is a promo which is almost the same but it would be an ad for someones business you post and you can charge these people $10-$40 per half hour you leave their post up. This is the most popular method to make money on Instagram.

You can also maybe find a CPA offer for a travel app or similar and put a redirect link to your affiliate link in your Instagram account Bio. For more money just do both methods.
