The Power of Facebook

I'm sitting here chuckling to myself as I read thread after thread of "How do I get traffic?".

I run a website in the pet niche. I actually run several websites in several niches but I digress. My pet site currently has 2100 REAL Facebook fans (US-only) that I got for $0.06 each via a trial-run "Like" campaign.

So, I just posted a 500-word article to the site about 2 hours ago and shared it on its Facebook page. This article alone has already driven close to 50 pageviews on my website, five hoplink clicks to the Clickbank product I'm promoting, and one sale.

The article I shared already has 2 re-shares and over a dozen likes.

I already have a $3 "boost" ready to go for later today to further spread my reach of the article.

Folks, this isn't hard. It's like printing money.

Facebook rules! It really isn't that hard, but just takes some time and testing to find what works for a niche.

Most people think it's harder than it really is. Keep up the great work!

Actually, it took me 3 hours to build the site, another 3 hours to publish the initial content, an hour to setup and tweak the Facebook "Like" campaign, and another 30 minutes to publish this most recent article.

      So...

7 hours to setup the site and get over 2000 fans for the Facebook page
30 minutes to publish a new article

Now that the site is up, I spend a few hours PER MONTH posting new content and I get TONS of traffic to my site, along with AdSense clicks, Amazon sales, and Clickbank sales.

Like I said, easy peasy. Just stay focused.

As you say Facebook is a powerful tool and it seems you've found a system which works for you in your niche.

Like you've done if you hit the right target audience for your website you can have a great reach who will be engaged with what you're posting = money.

Obviously you know what you are doing vs tons of people who have no clue ... you can burn a lot of cash trying to get likes to your page that will never bring any ROI. That much saind, I am doing quite well driving traffic from facebook with a fanpage that has only 72 likes so far. Most traffic comes from shares, not my page

That's exactly the problem. People either have to learn skills to succeed or hire someone with those skills. Most people who frequent these forums will do neither.

Instead of either taking the time to learn how to do it or just spending $300 for a professional, they will spend $300 on $7 "guides" that tell them how to make $5000/week with no work.

This stuff is bonehead easy if you just put forth some effort. Sadly, most people here have zero interest in doing any kind of actual "work".

        Ain't that the truth.

I'm really struggling with Facebook but I think that's because I really don't understand it.

To be honest I'd never use such a site I don't even have a personal profile.

That said it seems to big an opportunity to miss so I'm giving it a go. The options for targeting customers seem unreal and to me seem fairly priced. I've noticed likes seem cheaper than clicks to an external site.

Jab jab jab right hook by Gary Vaynerchuk has been helpful but I still feel lost.

It's good to hear people doing well and thanks for the inspiration to keep on working at it. Only another 9806 hours to go until I'm an expert

Yes, they typically are - and they are more valuable. Instead of driving clicks to a website, I prefer to build my fan base. By doing so, I can reach that same "liker" over and over again (similar to email marketing). The person who comes to my site via a website click campaign is "once and done".

When I post my next content piece on my site and share it on the page, the same people will see it, read it, like it (exposing it to their friends). And share it themselves - further exposing it. Just sending clicks to the website doesn't get you all that.

If you have a QUALITY website with QUALITY content, spend the time and money to learn facebook (or pay someone to do it dor you). I've seen consistent results with as few as 1500 fans. With the right targeting, 1500 fans can cost less than $100.

    So, just an update....

Less than 24 hours after posting my content, I've got a few clickbank sales on about a dozen hop link clicks and some AdSense clicks.

Organic reach for my post is at about 50% (so much for the 1-2% everyone claims). My measly $3 boost added another 30% reach on top so far (and I still have a little bit of that budget left).

My website has received about 100 page views already and my Facebook post has been liked 60+ times and shared about a dozen times.

If you aren't using Facebook to drive traffic, start doing it now. If you don't know how, hire someone to do it for you.

I own about 10 of these kinds of sites/brands - and I use the same strategy on all of them. Stupid easy.

    Hi Wolfmmiii!
My hobby is photography and I want to create a Fangage related with it and then build the system like you mentioned above. But I do not know how to started for good. That meant what is powerful way can I get more members for the Fanpage?

You should be running a website and a fan page with matching branding. Photography is probably a great fit for this type of marketing. Once your fan page is setup, share your website content on it and then run a like campaign to build your fan base. As your base grows, traffic and sales on your website will grow.

If you aren't sure how to do all this, hire a facebook expert. It will cost you some money but should be well worth it.

I agree that Facebook can be a powerful source for targeted traffic; however it has to be with the right training and discipline. It's even more powerful once you're able to understand and implement FB retargeting into your business.
