Depend upon the type of audience that your are targeting with your business. If your target audience fall under the young generation, then yes Facebook is the best. Also it depends upon what products you want to promote through social media. Clothing and electronics product based websites shall drive more traffic, when use Facebook. At the same time, Twitter is useful when you want to promote your brand and bring business value to it.

It all depends on your business industry & the type of audience that you are targeting.

Facebook & Twitter both are helpful for business and both drive huge traffic.
If you want to promote products like cloth, shoes, daily need products, electronic etc then you can focus on Facebook. Through facebook, you can join multiple groups. Mainly younger use Facebook use and almost all know about facebook. You can promote your business name/brand name here.

It depends on the type of audience that you are addressing. Generally, Facebook works well for B2C and Twitter does well for B2B. The difference is because of the type of users these networks have. You can check out the statistics of Facebook and Twitter in this infographic.

If you're still unsure about it, try this experiment.

    1. Post the same content in Facebook and Twitter. Check with Google Analytics how much of traffic you get from these networks.
    2. Promote the posts in Facebook and Twitter. Now, check which network is delivering better ROI.

You should be able to arrive at a conclusion based on your results. Hope this helps.

Facebook Or Twitter which one is best for sharing content really depends where you will find your target audience. If you are comparing by numbers then Look at the below statistics for facebook and twitter.
    Facebook:
    • 968 million daily active users
    • 844 million mobile daily active users
    • 1.49 billion monthly active users
    • 1.31 billion mobile monthly active users
    • 83% of users outside of the US and Canada
    Twitter
    • 316 million monthly users
    • 80% of active users on mobile
    • 77% of users outside the U.S.
    • 500 million tweets sent per day
You will hear this many time that â€Å"Everyone is on Facebook†but you will have to analyze deeper and find out where your audience is Twitter or Facebook. I found this article really useful when I was analysing where my audience was: http://sproutsocial.com/insights/facebook-vs-twitter/

From my own experience as a personal user and also from the business standpoint, I have discovered Facebook is the best way to share photo and video content as well as events, while Twitter is more of the "status" and article platform. If you aren't on both you're missing out on a lot of reach and potential exposure for a piece of content, no matter what it may be.

That depends on what you want to use them for. Here are some brief thoughts on using them for personal communication. Each can also be used for business.

Facebook - Keep up with friends and family in a semi-private community. Since you need to friend people back if you want to see each other's posts this may feel more private to some.If you friend a lot of people it can be harder to organize them than on Twitter.

Twitter - Follow people, topics, etc. in a more public space. Easy to meet new people. While some people use private accounts most do not, so you can usually see someone's posts even if they aren't following you.

which social media site is better? It really depends on what you are looking for. Facebook has many different features whereas Twitter is limited to one function. If all you want to do is broadcast small messages about what you are working on, then Twitter is possibly all you need. Of course, you can post updates on Facebook as well. You can also post pictures and videos and have them actually show up on your friends' walls without them having to click a link to even see a preview.

I advice to use both of them.

For Twitter there're a lot of application that can help you, ex. sending automated messages when someone starts following.
Twitter is easier and faster to grow your audience.

Facebook on the other hand may give you more quality audience.

So yes, use both of them!

And Instagram and Pinterest just for safety sake

For business purpose Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram all are the powerful platform. So I suggest you from my experience you can use both.

I am amazed to see how many people are still determined that Facebook is better, for me it most defiantly IS NOT better. I mean it used to be but things changed about 8 years back.

I get more views from Facebook, but more sales from twitter.

The problem with Facebook which most people don't seem to understand is that there are diminishing returns with it. Facebook will only share your post with 10% of the people who follow you, and if they decide to share your post it will only be with 10% of their followers, so unless you have greater than a 10% share rate, your post will only get so far before fizzling out and being forgotten. If you have something to post that is so awesome you exceed a continuous10% share rate, then the world is yours.

Twitter has no such crazy diminishing return algorithm, every time you tweet something it is there for the whole world to see, what it really depends on is how many good Twitter follower you have, and the time of day you post, but at least there is no silly algorithm working against you.

I gave up on promoting with Facebook years ago, I still get some sales from them, mostly from people posting themselves on their timeline. Twitter is far better for me.

I would suggest spending equal time on Facebook and twitter for a few months, then use your analytics to track the return you get, for me it is defiantly twitter than wins.

In my opinion, facebook is best for all those lengthy posts and promotions. For example, you want to talk about an event and want to share more details right then and there instead of leading people to another link, because twitter can't accommodate lengthy posts. So, if you want a direct and straightforward approach, go for facebook and if you want a teaser type, you can use twitter. If you have a webpage you'd want to increase traffic for, then twitter will work best for you.

I would suggest Facebook in terms of time frame. In Facebook wall, a post survives for more time than a Tweet.
But Twitter is a much professional platform, so it is better for business purpose.
Facebook encourages users to share fun elements, whereas Twitter is more about sharing serious elements such as news when you compare Facebook vs Twitter. In Facebook vs Twitter, Twitter with 140 characters pushes businesses to innovate and show the important facets of a news to an audience but Facebook provides ample space and bandwidth to give detailed analysis of each event. You will get many such pros and cons of both in a recent post in Techmagnate blog on Instagram vs Facebook vs Twitter vs Snapchat.

  • Ha! infect i am having both types of social media so as to advertise my YouTube Channel but since YouTube gives you benefit to link your Twitter account with your channel I don't have to separately work for Twitter while in case of Facebook, I think i have never posted any thing after making it

Facebook and Twitter are the best social networking sites for any type of business. To determine the best platform for sharing content, it all depends on the business' target audience, location and the type of product or service offered. For example, Facebook caters to B2C customers and Twitter does well for B2B. If you're still unsure, try this simple experiment. Post the same content on Facebook and Twitter and check the traffic you get on both these mediums. You can also promote the posts and check which generates more ROI. And if you having doubt still just verify my blog about Social Media Marketing

Definitely Facebook. Facebook is a large, diverse, global community. Twitter is pretty much a niche community for celebrities, journalists and discussion of social issues. If your content is compatible with those values, then go for it.

I prefer Facebook but there's no reason you can't try both and see which works best for your audience. I think baby boomers, myself included, prefer Facebook but I could be wrong.

I would say Facebook is a better platform than Twitter. You need to consider your target audience where you can viral your content.

No any doubt both are good to share content. Facebook and Twitter both known as a popular social network channel which helps to get traffic on your website and brand rapidly. One of the best thing for Facebook where you can get huge relevant groups as per your content which is a good benefit there.

In my suggestion Facebook is better than Twitter.
Quality & Quantity of followers also matters.

  • Facebook is far better. You can network fast on Facebook. If you have a facebook page, then that's cool! I find it very difficult to get followers using Twitter.

Both social media sites are good for sharing content. Twitter has a wide audience & in face book you can limit the audience. It depends on your need how much you want to promote your business. And yes face book gives result faster than Twitter.
