Facebook: better to target by interests, or groups?

Hi,

I'm looking to target affiliates on Facebook. As a general rule is it better to target people on Facebook using Facebook interests, or to find out the groups they hangout in and try to target those individually?

    i think that by targeting by group you can achieve more. That is because you will target all of the people in the group by a single post. That is better by me only if you can find a group for your site or the product you are selling, if you can not do that you should target by interests.

    I think you can do both, but you might consider prioritizing the first one. That way, you can arrange your strategy from broad (interests) >> narrow (find out where they usually hang out).

    You can do it by using targeted groups. It will be more effective. First of all join as many groups as you can. Try to be a respected one by commenting informative post. Then try to do your business.

    Do a trial basis by using both methods. There's no easy answer for this. There a lot of groups on Facebook but that does not mean all the groups are very active.
