With social media so prominent these days how do i use it to my advantage

    You use it to gather a fan base and make your product/service known.

    But most important than that in my opinion is to use any channel you have to build a list.

    I strongly believe that you should NOT monetizing on your social media accounts directly but use them as list building platforms.

    You can do that in various ways, from Facebook's tabs to contests and giveaways, lead forms and so on.

    Here are some tips:

    - Create a fan page and put social sharing icons on the site

    - Develop a blog (Wordpress)

    - Post new items everyday

    - Find a good software/plugin that can post to other social sites for you (or configure it to do it automatically in Wordpress)

    - Participate on Twitter and LinkedIn

    - Be social and participate in groups relevant to your business

    - Participate on forums in your niche

    - Advertise on the social network platforms (ex: facebook ads)

    Join groups in your niche on social media sites like Facebook, Google+, and Linkedin. Then post content to these groups.

    My advice would not link to a sales page.

    I would suggest you link to blog post that has an optin form to your list on it or link directly to a squeeze page.

    The most important thing to be is to interact, communicate with people. For example, you have just written one liner question in the title and two words in your thread, instead of which, you could have elaborated, about what you have been doing or what is your niche or business. This is called interaction with people, the more you do, the more real, quick and genuine traffic you will have as an advantage.
