I found the most effective way to build a list via FB ads is to build a campaign using video views as the objective:

    1. Find a popular youtube video in your niche that is getting massive views (preferably - the video s/b 1 minute or less).
    2. Don't use the embed code... download the video to your hard drive (I'll explain why later...)
    3. Create a post with a description about the video on your fb fan page by uploading the video (as a courtesy I always give credit to the owner of the Y/T Channel). When you upload the video it will play automatically... no one has to click it to view it.
    4. Next you want to create a campaign using video views as the objective.
    5. Target your audience (ideally you'd want a targeted audience of about 500k... more or less.
    6. I suggest Desktop Only for now.
    7. Set your budget and let FB optimize automatically. Note: under where you get charged: make sure to select 10 second video view (this way you only get charged when someone views your video for more than 10 seconds.
    11. For your Ad, select previous post and use the post with the video you uploaded.
    12. Once your ad is approved and up and running you should get video views around .03 more or less. I've had views as low as .002
    HERE'S THE BEST PART-
FB is building a custom audience for you automatically. You will have two audiences when it's all said and done: one for partial views and another for completed views. You can now retarget your audience(s) (warm traffic) with campaigns to opt-in to your offer...

***I may have left out a step or two creating the actual ad for the video, but it's pretty much the concept that's currently working for me***

    Good Luck!!

  • Hi,

You can run an ad which directs to a landing page of your site to build your list but you need to use good keywords on your ad campaign so that when people see it, they will be moved to take action. Also, you need to customize it so that when people contact you, or click buttons on your FB page, they will be redirected yet again to your landing page.

    Regards,

You can do it by creating a Facebook Ad Campaign .
You can now turn to Facebook advertisements to send you highly targeted visitors.
While creating your ad, keep the following points in mind.
1.Use at least 4 to 5 high quality images for your ad.
2.Test different headlines and content for your ad.
3.Make sure your ad copy has a clear call to action.
4.Start with a small budget for each ad and do test runs to find out the combination.

This method got us a 1k list for under $50.

    In short:

-you publish on your page posts that have viral potential
-you should have no links in posts since Facebook will hinder their chances of going viral
-the primary scope is to increase your reach, this will have a snowball effect as your new posts are more likely to get higher engagement and reach
-you boost the good posts for $5, and see how much organic reach you get besides the paid reach
-after you have a good reach(few hundred thousands) you edit the post description and add your contest link or sales page link
-at this point Facebook cannot stop the post as the ball is quite big

Sometimes you can get viral for free but it is vary hard. Spending a mere $5 can get the ball rolling way easier.

Be careful with what content you post, Facebook introduced digital management rights and stealing content can get your page disabled.
