If you're asking about social media site for marketing, I would say "Facebook" because it is populated with millions of potential customers whom you can target. Besides being the biggest social networking site, it also has a very flexible purpose.

Some popular Social Networking sites are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, G+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, MySpace etc. Instagram is my favorite social networking site.

Depends on my niche as I have different businesses. I like Pinterest and Twitter alot. Use FB some. My GF has a niche site that involves a lot of pictures and does well on Pinterest and Instagram. Think of what your audience is looking for and where they are looking for it, then be there.

My favorite is Facebook and Google Plus because it generates more traffic for me. Get to know your audience and then target that platform. It will be beneficial for you.

I also use instagram and snapchat but that is for my personal usage.

I don't think anyone has mentioned Reddit.com (even though it's not technically a "social network" in the same sense as Facebook).

Definitely worthwhile checking out - lots of traffic (if that's what the OP wanted to know...).
