Can no longer Invite people who like my posts to join my Fanpage

It seems like facebook changed something tonight. I've been growing my fanpages by boosting posts on my pages and inviting everyone who likes my content to join my page. When I'd click the likes under a post, There would be an invite button next to anyone who wasn't already a fan of my page. Example:



However, starting tonight, I can no longer do this. I now see the option to "add friend" as seen below



But this only invites them to be friends with me personally, not fans of my page. This is going to make it significantly more challenging to get likes on my page with facebook ads.

Anyone else noticing this change? It seems like a pretty major change to me and I don't see anyone talking about it.

    I wonder if this is a glitch after a recent reordering of some buttons and links.

    By the way, if you invite someone to be a friend, does it invite them to be a friend of your personal account or your business account?

      It invites them to be friends with your personal account. I tested it.

    Same problem here and WHAT HORRIBLE timing!

    Finally after YEARS of posting happy reunion stories of lost cats I've found, I Friday I posted one from Spain that went worldwide VIRAL (well, for me 20K is huge) and then WHAT?? It has to be
    the EXACT SAME day Facebook ends the ability to invite people who like a post to like my page???

    What are the odds?

    Does anyone know why we can no longer invite someone who likes a post on business page to like the page??

    This is killing me.

    Hours wasted trying to figure this out,

    This happens every once in a while. Sometimes it takes them a day to fix it, sometimes literally months, and even then it is not fixed for everyone. It's russian roulette. And then there's always the scary thought that they might have decided to just drop the feature, which I sincerely don't hope (and don't think). We'll just have to sit it out.

    According to the users of this group, many of whom claim to have talked to Facebook support, the feature has been discontinued. This does not appear to be a bug, unfortunately.

    I have encountered the same problem as what everyone else listed above. Being a meteorologist who runs an international weather awareness page, this is a true annoyance but I am hoping it gets resolved very soon. I recommend we wait another 24 to 36 hours before jumping to conclusions. Thoughts?
