Welcome to the forums! One way to start is to look for other Twitter accounts related to your niche, or whatever your Twitter account is going to be about.

Follow all the people who re-tweet. If they follow you back and re-tweet your content, your getting exposure to their followers as well, which can be anywhere from a few to a lot.

This is just one method and it will take awhile to see results but that's the price for getting free followers.

Getting followers is one thing, but keeping them is quite another.

I think Chris has said my mind already. Just follow those followers that are following a particular twitter account whose niche is related to your own. you can search out for twitter pages (that relates to your niche) with lots of followers and follow them. with time, surely there will begin to follow you back.

2. Add a link to your website.
3. Tweet great and shareable content.
4. Tweet frequently, for example, tweets every 15 minutes and there is a crazy engagement on his Twitter channel.
5. Use relevant hashtags.
6. Follow people that you would like to see updates from or similar to your industry.

Unfortunately to start off youll have to do exactly what others suggested, follow then and expect follow back. You can use sites like 16544 Twitter users who will follow u back! where people like you put their twitter and others follow then, then you follow them back.. gl

-Interact the people who are the same interested on your chosen platform.
-Using to tweet by the happening hashtags to gain more followers.

Definitely have a profile with good photos and an interesting bio. Then start following and retweeting. Think about what a follower would get out of following your account and post quality content.

To get more followers, you need to tweet more. According to a study: "Users who have tweeted more than 10,000 times are followed on average by 1,000 to 5000 users. To make sure those followers don't unfollow you, don't tweet about uninteresting stuffs and do not tweet in bursts (or too many tweets close to each other).
