What should the perfect length of a Facebook post should be

A client asked me today to create a social media campaign with all the posts for a few months for their real estate business.

They are now asking how long each of the Facebook posts 'should' be.

I know the answer is 'whatever it ends up being' however I have said that optimum length is around 50 words.

What do you think the 'right' length should be?

I know if comes down to a wide range of factors... just interested to hear your ideas on this.

If you want to promote your website link on your post then i think you should make a 2 or 3 liner summary describing the page content shortly and then post it on Facebook with link, image and proper hashtag. It will make a better impression to your users.

50 words would be the absolute max for me. Personally, I prefer the use of images in Facebook posts and a sentence, two at the most, of text. I know from my own experience that news feeds are so crowded these days that people just don't have the time to study each post as it comes up any more.

People are scrolling and skimming their feeds these days so short, sharp and to the point for me!

People don't have the patience to read big posts nowadays, and it's only getting worse. Make it an eye grabber, short and to the point, give value immediately and add a call to action line too.

Posting format which works best for us is a very short text + nice picture which would make people to click and review the landing web page. No tricks, however. Must be a quality post.

I think that the perfect Facebook post should be between 50 and 100 words, because you want to say exactly what you wanted but not to end up short.
So,you should combine good vocabulary but not to be too long,to make people interested in what you're writing but not to be boring.

What should the perfect length of a Facebook post should be

Exactly 87 characters, anything else is absurd.

Hi, all the new facebook ad studies are emphasizing more on the image and less on the copy. In fact, the copy on the image is more important than your text (it's the first thing people will read and scroll down if they didn't find it relevant).
So, yes 50 words are enough. Thanks
